On 30 Apr 18 Marcus Alec Turify, 223 Greene Street, Marietta, Ohio, was cited for DUS, non-compliance.

On 1 May 18 Zachery M. Mounts, 100 High Avenue, Waterford, Ohio, was cited for no operator’s license and fictitious plates.

On 5 May 18 Sherry Duff, Mitchells Lane, Marietta, Ohio, reported a theft to Deputy Zide.  This case remains under investigation.

On 5 May 18 Deputy Parks responded to 147 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, to meet with Derek Leftridge, who was thought to be under the influence of an unknown substance(s).  Leftridge advised Deputy Parks that he had recently used methamphetamine and also turned over items he had concealed in his pockets.  Deputy Parks and Sgt. Holbert gave Leftridge commands however Leftridge became combative with Officers, verbally and physically, stating he would do what he wanted when he wanted.  Derek M. Leftridge, age 27, was placed under arrest for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.

On 5 May 18 Deputy Schwendeman responded to a possible domestic situation in Newport Township.  In speaking with all parties involved it was determined to be unfounded.

On 5 May 18 Deputy McKee responded to a possible domestic situation in Marietta Township.  In speaking with all parties involved it was determined to be unfounded.

On 5 May 18 Sgt. Johnson was dispatched to a fight at 100 High Avenue, Waterford, Ohio.  Robert E. Baker claimed he was assaulted, however witnesses state it was a mutual fight.   Baker had been drinking and was advised to go home with his family and stay there.  After a short time Deputies were advised that Baker had taken off walking from Beverly.  Deputies located Robert Edward Baker, age 50, on the Waterford Bridge and was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.

On 5 May 18 Sgt. Holbert was dispatched to School House Road, Little Hocking, to a domestic dispute.  Angela Mollohan states she and Scott Mollohan were in a verbal confrontation that turned physical.  After speaking with all parties Scott Allen Mollohan, age 47, 3728 School House Road, Little Hocking, was placed under arrest for domestic violence.

On 6 May 18 Brittni Cheyenne Messick, age 25, was brought to the Washington County Jail on drug possession charges.  Messick was asked if she had any drugs, weapons, or contraband in/or on her person. Messick said she had nothing on her person and in further inspecting her purse officers found a green leafy substance that is believed to be marijuana and burnt roaches, multiple types of pills, and other drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Messick was further charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug abuse instruments.  (171)

On 7 May 18 Deputy J McConnell and Sgt. Parks began an investigating in reference to a possible menacing incident.  In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

Donald Todd Buchanan, age 42, 6430 State Route 821, Whipple, Ohio, aggravated burglary, abduction, both felonies, and domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Jodi Lynn Cain, age 33, 16687 Crooked Tree Road, Dexter City, Ohio, possession of drugs, a felony.

Aaron Wesley Cain, age 36, 16687 Crooked Tree Road, Dexter City, Ohio, possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.

Jaden Franklin Bird, age 22, 193 Raven Rock Drive, St. Mary’s, WV, driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

Shawn Eugene Covey, age 41, 250 County House Lane, Marietta, Ohio, criminal damaging and menacing, misdemeanors.

There are currently 29 female inmates and 96 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
