On 19 Apr 18 Lt. Hornbeck followed a vehicle that was being driven abrupt and rapidly into a parking lot, Reno, Marietta Township. Contact with an occupant, James M. Lyons, age 19, 318 Staunton Avenue, Parkersburg, WV, was made in which the odor of marijuana was detected. Lyons advised the marijuana was his and recovered same from the trunk area. A summons is being requested for Lyons for possession of marijuana.
On 20 Apr 18 Deputy Jones responded to Waterford High School in reference to marijuana and alcohol being located in a vehicle. Charges are pending though Washington County Juvenile Court.
On 21 Apr 18 Deputy J. McConnell responded to a possible assault complaint in Marietta Township. Subjects requested no prosecution/charges.
On 25 Apr 18 Deputy Johnson along with the Devola, Lowell Adams and Beverly Waterford Volunteer Fire Departments responded to 35 Bear Creek Road, to a home filling with smoke. No foul play is suspected.
On 25 Apr 18 Ronald Frame, State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported a vehicle stolen from his residence. This case remains under investigation. (131)
On 25 Apr 18 Deputies responded to Wesley Township along with the Wesley Volunteer Fire Department to a vehicle fire. The fire had been extinguished prior to Deputies arriving. This case remains under investigation. (907)
On 26 Apr 18 Kelly A. Price, 407 E. Montgomery Street, Marietta, Ohio, was cited for driving on a suspended license.
On 27 Apr 18 Deputy Allender assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic stop with Joshua Ryan Muntz, age 30, Newport, Ohio. Muntz had two active warrants for his arrest and upon searching the vehicle controlled substances were located. Muntz was placed under arrest on the warrants as well as possession of drugs. Muntz was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 27 Apr 18 Kenneth Anthony Bonin, 204 Front Street, Racine, Ohio, was cited for driving on a suspended license.
On 27 Apr 18 Johanna Doak, 2260 Clark Hill Road, Waterford, reported her home entered and items of value, to include firearms, jewelry, tools and miscellaneous items were removed. This case remains under investigation. (415)
On 28 Apr 18 Sgt. Reeder and Deputy A. McConnell responded to 1535 Braun Road, Belpre, Ohio, in reference to a loud music complaint. Deputies located several underage individuals consuming alcoholic beverages. Austin Lee Smith, age 19, 1603 Covert Street, Parkersburg, WV, Aaron N. White, age 20, 356 Winding Road, Parkersburg, WV, Eva Jo Szakats, age 18, 41 Wadesville Road, Washington, WV, and Tyler B. Sanford, age 19, 258 Jefferson Drive, Mineral Wells, WV, were charged with underage consumption and transported to the Washington County Jail. One juvenile will be charged through Washington County Juvenile Court.
On 28 Apr 18 Deputy A. McConnell responded to Catfish Paradise, 12769 Veto Road, Marietta, Ohio, in reference to catching a juvenile removing several fishing items. The items were returned and the owner did not wish to prosecute the subject. Case is closed.
On 28 Apr 18 Sgt. Reeder responded to Muskingum Township in reference to a domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.
On 29 Apr 18 Deputy Metts responded to Adams Township in reference to a domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.
On 29 Apr 18 Deputy Metts responded to Newport Township to a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.
On 30 Apr 18 a Pit-bull dog belonging to Katie Grayson, 733 8th Street, Marietta, Ohio got loose from her residence and attacked another dog that was being walked on a leash by its owner. Sgt. McGilton will be filing for a summons for failure to retrain through Marietta Municipal Court.

Delecia Dawn Davis, age 44, 1308 Williamson Avenue, Apt. 3D, New Matamoras, Ohio, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Christopher Scott Holder, age 33, 4755 Waterford Road, Marietta, Ohio, probation violation and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.
There are currently 25 female inmates and 96 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
