On 16 Apr 18 Sgt. Johnson and Deputy McKee responded to 3543 Tick Ridge Road,  Vincent, Ohio, to attempt an arrest warrant on Timothy Wayne Snyder.  Deputies met with Snyder at the residence.  Snyder was advised of the arrest warrant issued out of Belpre Mayor’s Court and was asked if he had anything in his pockets that he should not have, and he replied by asking to go inside and empty his pockets. Snyder was handcuffed and searched, with Snyder admitting he had a “bubble” in his left front pocket.  Deputy McKee took control of the item, which turned out to be a glass pipe commonly used for narcotics.  Timothy Wayne Snyder, age 37, was arrested on the warrant for suspension and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 17 Apr 18 Deputy Zide filed 5th degree felony charges of possession of drugs (meth) charges on April Dawn Cecil, age 45, 7962 Mt. Carmel Ridge Road, St. Mary’s, WV.  These charges stem from an incident on 8 Oct 17 where Cecil was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.  After receiving positive test results of the substance being methamphetamine, felony charges were filed.

On 17 Apr 18 Karen S. Shreves, 360 Old Beaverton Road, New Matamoras, OH, reported a lawn mower and weed eater stolen.  This case remains under investigation by Deputy Carr.

On 17 Apr 18 Deputy Martin received a warrant from the Circuit Court of Wood County, WV, for the arrest of Shannon Scott Hines, on a felony criminal complaint.  Deputy Martin compared the date of birth provided by the court to the booking information provided by Hines when booked into the Washington County Jail and found them to match.  Shannon Scott Hines, age 29, 1220 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, Ohio, was provided a copy of the warrant as well as a copy of the fugitive from justice charges being filed through Marietta Municipal Court.

On 18 Apr 18 Deputy Zide was patrolling State Route 7 when he observed a Toyota truck bearing OH registration commit traffic violation(s).   A traffic stop was conducted and contact with the occupants was made.  Deputy Zide immediately detected the smell of marijuana.  Both occupants admitted to having marijuana.  Fields also admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages and consented to field sobriety tests.  Jennifer Lee Jarrell, age 32, 2941 Lake Road, Fleming, OH, will be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.  Nathan J. Fields, age 36, 601 46thStreet, Vienna, WV, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence, possession of drugs/marijuana, and driving in marked lanes, and was transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Tuesday 17 Apr 18 and Wednesday 18 Apr 18:

Christina Marie Hower, age 33, 836 Utica, Akron, OH, for receiving stolen property, a felony, and probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Erica Theandra Kidder, age 25, 1244 Dragstrip Road, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Nathaniel James Fields, age 36, 601 46thStreet, Vienna, WV, driving under the influence, improper lane usage and possession of drugs, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 28 female inmates and 100 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
