The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has extended
the

* Flood Warning for Small Streams in…
Northeastern Washington County in southeastern Ohio…

* Until 945 AM EDT

* At 559 AM EDT, The stage at Bloomfield on Little Muskingum River
was 16.60 feet. Estimated flood stage is 16 feet.

* The river will continue to rise and crest around 17 feet later
this morning. Between 16 and 20 feet…Route 26 near the
intersection with Route 260 starts to flood.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…Bloomfield,
Marietta and Lower Salem.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
