On 9 Mar 18 at 1904 hrs. Lt. Hunter and Sgt. Holbert were dispatched to 9160 Veto Road, Belpre, in reference to an incident of domestic violence. Andrea Grimm states she was assaulted by her son, Logan W. Grimm. Logan later admitted to being physically aggressive with his mother. Logan Wesley Grimm, age 29, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 9 Mar Lt. Hunter was dispatched to the Beverly Par Mar in reference to an intoxicated male at the store, who eventually had left on foot. The male subject, identified as Cory Wagner, was located on SR 339 at Fourth Street, Beverly, Ohio, and appeared to be extremely intoxicated. Cory Alan Wagner, age 30, 205 Second Street, Lot 3, Beverly, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct by intoxication.
On 9 Mar 18 Deputy Carr responded to 1800 Silver Globe Rd., Marietta, in reference to a possible domestic violence situation. Maralee Alkire was outside the residence and reported a verbal argument with Timothy Vincent, with her reporting she was physically restrained at one point, causing her to fear for her safety. Timothy Joseph Vincent, age 36, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 10 Mar 18 Deputy Hall responded to 161 Turner Drive, Belpre, in reference to a possible domestic violence situation. Shannon Bailey states she and her husband had been arguing on this date when Kyle became aggravated and made threats of harming her. Shannon feared for her safety and felt Kyle would go through with the threats. Kyle was not present upon Deputy Hall arriving, however arrived prior to Deputy Hall clearing the scene. Kyle David Bailey, age 31, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Bailey was also issued a citation for driving under suspension.
On 10 Mar 18 Deputy Carr responded to a possible domestic incident in Marietta Township. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.
On 10 Mar 18 Deputy Brown was advised while working at the Washington County Jail that an assault had occurred. Wesley Roberts reports that he was assaulted by Logan W. Grimm. After conducting the investigation it was determined that Grimm would be placed under arrest and held on a charge of assault.
On 11 Mar 18 Sgt. Johnson and Deputy McKee responded to 8846 State Route 555, Cutler, due to a juvenile calling 911 because his mother and father would not wake up. During this investigation Sgt. Johnson and Deputy McKee observed a bag of what we believed to be raw marijuana. Cecil Schultheisz admitted it was his marijuana. Also located near the marijuana was a glass marijuana smoking device. Cecil Edward Schultheisz, age 42, was advised that a summons would be requested for him on a charge of possession of marijuana.
On 11 Mar 17 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a call advising that Joshua Fortney was assaulting his wife, Brittany Fortney at 1902 Way Road, Belpre, Ohio. Dispatch was able to hear the altercation and commotion, as well as Deputy McKee upon his arrival at the residence. Brittany reported that Joshua did push her but nothing else. Witnesses reported that Joshua pushed, struck and was choking Brittany. Joshua denied any of this occurred, however stated he did not remember most of the incident. Joshua was intoxicated at the time and smelled of an intoxicating beverage and his eyes were bloodshot. Joshua W. Fortney, age 32, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail. Once at the jail, Joshua tested .164 on the portable breathalyzer.
On 12 Mar 18 a dog belonging Michelle Gillenwalters, 740 Caywood Road, Marietta, was loose from her property. Michelle’s dog went onto the roadway and aggressively charged toward a subject walking their horse along Caywood Road. Michelle exited the residence and yelled for the dog. Michelle restrained the dog back inside her residence. Michelle was cited on January 28, 2018 for this same offense. Sgt. McGilton requests a summons through Marietta Municipal Court be issued to Michelle Gillenwalters, age 52, for failing to restrain her dog.
On 13 Mar 18, Sgt. McGilton received a complaint advising a dog belonging to Jessica Perine, 8261 Muskingum River Road, Lowell was defecating in a neighbor’s yard. Contact was made with Jessica who advised the dog was back inside her residence, but was recently outside unrestrained. Jessica stated she let the dog out, but the dog was not outside very long, only long enough to relieve itself. Sgt. McGilton informed Jessica her dog went onto a neighbor’s property. Jessica had been warned to restrain her dog on March 7, 2018. Sgt. McGilton requests a summons through Marietta Municipal Court be issued to Jessica Perine, age 24, for failure to restrain her dog.

Julie Renee Rinard, age 48, 1208 County House Lane, Marietta, Ohio; theft x2; 90 days County Jail.
Justin Clevelen Sherman, age 29, 853 Strawberry Hill Road W, Columbus, Ohio; probation violation, original charge conspiracy to commit robbery, 4th degree felony; 30 days County Jail.
The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Monday 12 Mar 18 and Tuesday 13 Mar 18:
Bradley Justin Giffen, age 36, 1108 18th Street, Parkersburg, WV, parole violation, a felony.
Paul Alexander Biles, age 59, 24561 Brimstone Road, Coolville, OH, on a warrant for driving while under the influence of alcohol, failure to reinstate and fictitious plates, all misdemeanors.
Justin Clevelen Sherman, age 29, 853 Strawberry Hill Road W, Columbus, OH: on a warrant for probation violation, a felony.
Amy Leigh Davis, age 32, 34 Cherry Hill Lane, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a felony.
There are currently 25 female inmates and 113 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
