On 3 Mar 18 Deputy J. McConnell began an investigation into a menacing incident, however the victim refused to pursue charges in this case. Case closed.
On 3 Mar 18 at approximately 0330 hrs. Meranda Dawn King, age 23, 32565 Rose Hill Road, Pomeroy, Ohio, was brought to the Washington County Jail by a Meigs County Deputy Sheriff on a trafficking in drugs charge. King was asked by Corrections Officer Cramblett if she had any contraband either in/or on her person. King advised she did not. During the process several bags of contraband were located under King’s shirt, identified by King as marijuana and a crystal meth like substance. A charge of conveying into a detention facility were filed on King through Marietta Municipal Court by Deputy White.
On 3 Mar 18 Deputies were dispatched to 1426 Earley Ridge Road, New Matamoras, Ohio, in reference to Greg Earley and Gavin Earley fighting. Deputies arrived in which Gavin had already left the residence. Gavin had made threats of violence towards Greg. A scuffle broke out, however neither Greg or Gavin were hurt. Numerous locations were checked for Gavin and Gavin was eventually located. Gavin Gregory Earley, age 24, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of domestic violence and aggravated menacing.
On 3 Mar 18 Deputy Hill was working the Washington County Jail when the fire alarm was activated. The activation originated from a cell where Kyle Casey Morrison was housed. Through investigation it was determined that Morrison did in fact cause the activation of the fire alarm by interfering with the sprinkler system. Morrison is being charged with criminal mischief and disrupting public services, both felonies.
On 4 Mar 18 Deputy Johnson responded to 235 Ridgewood Boulevard, Belpre, to a report of domestic violence. Deputy Johnson met with Seth Patrick Miller, age 36, who was upset with a household member. In speaking with all parties it was determined that Miller would be placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

Zackry Pate Taylor, age 25, 710 Eighth Street, Marietta, Ohio, for probation violation, a felony.
Dylan Andrew Mellinger, age 23, 2303 Broadway Extension, Parkersburg, West Virginia, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Janet Dawn Shaw, age 44, 820 Newells Run Road, Newport, Ohio, for possessing drug abuse instruments, obstructing official business, and probation violation, all misdemeanors.
Samuel Lee Damron, age 41, 197 Faye Avenue, Marietta, Ohio, for hit skip/ leaving the scene, a misdemeanor.
Travis James Eue, age 34, 207 Florence Street, Belpre, Ohio, for aggravated robbery, a felony, and fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.
Justin Tyler Gibbs, age 26, 515 Smith Street, Marietta, Ohio, for possessing drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, and contempt (failure to appear), a felony.
April Nichole Calvert, age 31, 325 Sandhill Road, Reno, Ohio, for trafficking in drugs and burglary, both felonies.
Brandon Joshua Blevins, age 28, 600 Ullman Street, Beverly, Ohio, for theft, a misdemeanor.
Tyler Joseph McMahan, age 25, 2111 36th Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia, for probation violation.
Michael Ray Runyon, age 30, 233 Broughton Avenue, Marietta, Ohio, for probation violation, a felony.
There are currently 30 female inmates and 106 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
