On 21 Feb 18 Deputy Metts began an investigation in Watertown Township in reference to items being dumped along the roadway. This case remains under investigation.
On 23 Feb 18 at approximately 2344 hours Deputy Schwendeman observed a vehicle parked at the Veto Church of Christ, State Route 339 and Cross Road. Contact was made with the driver, Cody Wiesman, who advised he was waiting to pick up a friend. Deputy Schwendeman detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on or about Wiesman’s person, also noting his eyes were glassy and bloodshot. When asked, Wiesman admitted to drinking approximately 6 beers in the previous hours. Wiesman was asked to turn off the ignition and exit the vehicle to perform standard field sobriety tests, which he did with poor results. Cody Tyler Wiesman, age 23, 307 Barnett Ridge Road, Belpre, was placed under arrest for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 24 Feb 18 Deputies responded to Belpre Township to a possible domestic situation. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed. (612)
On 25 Feb 18 Deputy Schwendeman responded to Dunham Township to a possible domestic situation. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.
On 25 Feb 18 Deputies along with the Reno Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to the scene of an unresponsive female. This case remains under investigation.

Tyson Dwayne Cunningham, age 31, 714 Ohio Avenue, Belpre, Ohio, having weapons while under disability and possession of drugs, felonies; 60 days County Jail.
Dylan Lee Riley, age 31, 715 Cisler Drive, Marietta, Ohio, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, 5th degree felonies; 60 days County Jail.
