On 17 Feb 18 Mary E. Snyder, 299 Buckeye Ridge Road, Chesterhill, Ohio, was operating a motor vehicle on State Route 550, Warren Township when she slid off the right side of the roadway and over an embankment, striking a tree. No injuries were reported (594)
On 17 Feb 18 Deputy J. McConnell responded to 419 Warrior Drive, Vincent, Ohio, to a domestic dispute. Heather Walker reported her husband, David Walker, had assaulted her after a verbal altercation. A warrant was requested for David A. Walker, age 31, 419 Warrior Drive, Vincent, on a charge of domestic violence through Marietta Municipal Court.
On 17 Feb 18 at approximately 2256 hours Deputy Parks observed a vehicle parked at the storage units at 18971 State Route 339, Waterford. Contact was made with the two occupants, one being Crystal Clifton. Deputy Parks detected a strong odor of what was believed to be marijuana. The first female was asked why they were there and she stated she had been hired by Crystal Clifton to clean out a unit, and she had been driven there by Crystal. The female denied having anything illegal on her person and/or vehicle. Deputy Parks spoke with Crystal who advised the van belonged to a neighbor who allowed her to use it. Crystal was asked why she was at the storage buildings with her stating she was moving items from one unit she rents to another unit. Crystal was asked who was smoking marijuana and she stated she had just smoked a joint prior to Deputy Parks stopping. Other contraband located in the vehicle was a bong, suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, and glass smoking pipes. Crystal Elaine Clifton, age 44, lka: 3050 Center Bend Road, Beverly, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 18 Feb 18 Deputy Metts and the Beverly Waterford Volunteer Fire Department Squad were dispatched to an unresponsive male. No foul play was discovered.
On 18 Feb 18 Deputy Parks was dispatched to 7199 Veto Road, Belpre, in reference to Cynthia Roush being pushed by her husband, Isaac Roush. Cynthia stated she and Isaac had argued the previous day and she had left the home for the night and upon coming home today they began arguing again. Isaac continued to push her around and assaulted her. Isaac was located at a different location and was placed under arrest for domestic violence, a 4th degree felony. Isaac Thomas Roush, age 22, was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 19 Feb 18 Clifford Harris, 570 Albright Road, Waterford, reported a four wheeler missing from his residence. This case remains under investigation. (816)
On 18 Feb 18 Joshua Bailey, 354 Stanley Mills Road, Little Hocking, reported his home entered and items including televisions, Xbox 360 game system, and firearms were stolen. This case remains under investigation. (799)
On 19 Feb 18 Deputy Hall responded to 3915 State Route 676, Stockport, Ohio to meet with Steven Pierce. Pierce reports he was at 630 Mercer Road to do work for the property owner. Pierce states he showed up to repair a door when the tenant, Darrell Gibson, came to the back door telling him to leave. Pierce told Darrell he had work to do. Pierce left to retrieve a door and upon returning Darrell came out on the porch brandishing a hand gun telling him again to leave. Pierce again told Darrell he would leave as soon as he was finished, at which time Darrell came through the screen door and fell off the porch, firing a shot in Pierce’s direction. Darrell then got up and continued to point the gun at Pierce, telling him to leave. Pierce states Darrell also said he was going to kill him multiple times. Pierce was able to leave safely and contacted law enforcement. A warrant is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for the arrest of Darrell E. Gibson, age 84, for aggravated menacing.
