The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Flood Watch for our area.

A complex storm system has the potential to bring heavy rain to the region Wednesday night through Friday. This system has the potential to produce between 1-3 inches of rain. With the ground being saturated from previous rains, coupled with streams and rivers running high, this rain has the potential to cause flooding throughout the area.

Flooded roadways are a possibility, especially along streams, creeks and rivers. Flooding of low lying, poor drainage areas, streams, creeks and rivers are possible. You should monitor later forecasts to be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
