On 20 Jan 18 Deputy A. McConnell responded to Warren Township in reference to a possible domestic violence situation. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
On 21 Jan 18 Deputy J. McConnell responded to Barlow Township in reference to a report of domestic violence. Justin Ray Anderson, age 29, 380 Anderson Road, Fleming, was placed under arrest charged with domestic violence.
On 21 Jan 18 Deputy A. McConnell began an investigation in Salem Township where a 2012 Chevy Sonic was reported stolen. Through investigation and witness accounts Alexander Murphy Craig, age 21, 615 Dalzell Road, Whipple, was determined to be the one responsible for taking the vehicle. Deputies met with Craig and he was advised he was under arrest. When asked to place his hands behind his back he refused. Craig continued resisting arrest while Deputies were attempting to handcuff him. Once Deputy Metts was able to restrain Craig a pat down revealed a glass smoking pipe and bag of green leafy vegetation, suspected to be marijuana. Craig was taken into custody on charges of grand theft auto, drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs, and resisting arrest.
On 21 Jan 18 Deputy Metts responded to Newport Township in reference to a possible domestic violence situation. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
On 21 Jan 18 Lt. Norman responded to Belpre Township in reference to a possible domestic violence situation. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
On 22 Jan 17 Deputy A. McConnell issued a citation to Corey M. Porter, 55 E. Wildwood Drive, Parkersburg, WV, for failure to operate a motor vehicle without a valid license.
On 22 Jan 18 Deputy McKee completed a traffic crash report for State of Ohio Lottery Commission.
On 23 Jan 18 Deputy McKee began an investigation into a theft incident.
On 22 Jan Deputy Carr responded to Marietta Township to a domestic complaint. After completing the investigation Marcus Gregory Boothby, age 22, 10 Browns Road, Apt. 3A, Marietta, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail. Deputy Carr viewed a box of syringes, which were reported to belong to Boothby. A consent to search was obtained finding 2 sets of scales, syringes, 2 empty plastic baggies with white residue in each, 1 baggie with white residue, a plastic container, metal grinder and glass pipe, all with the odor of marijuana. Victoria Elizabeth Fuller, age 20, 10 Browns Road, Apt. 3A, Marietta, stated the grinder belonged to her. A summons is being requested for Fuller on a charge of drug paraphernalia. A charge of possession of drug abuse instruments was also filed on Boothby.

Mark Lynn Valentine, age 45, 905 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV, for probation violation, 16 months Orient.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Tuesday 23 Jan 18 and Wednesday 24 Jan 18:
Willie Hays Nash III, age 2, 269 Providence Street, Providence, LA, receiving stolen property, a felony.
There are currently 28 females and 101 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
