On 11 Jan 18 Deputy Parks was dispatched to 3645 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, to a report of Christopher Mitchell being involved in a verbal argument with his wife, Misty L. Mitchell. Through investigation, it was learned today’s episode between Christopher and Misty was only verbal, and no threats or acts of violence took place. Misty did report an incident with Christopher occurring sometime between 26 and 29 Dec 17 where Christopher did push her, and threw a coffee table in her direction. Christopher denies throwing the coffee table, however states he did move it to pick up pieces of his phone which he threw at the door and broke. Christopher advised during this same argument with Misty she threw a candle and hit him in the left leg. Deputy Parks is requesting a summons be issued through Marietta Municipal Court for disorderly conduct against Christopher Mitchell, age 42, and Misty L. Mitchell, age 40.
On 12 Jan 18 Dispatch received a call in regards to a vehicle parked in the roadway at the intersection of Brownsville Road at Cemetery Lane. Patrolman Smith with the New Matamoras Police Department was on duty and advised he would check it for us. Patrolman Smith observed the vehicle, a Chevy Cavalier bearing WV registration, and noticed a male subject sitting in it. Patrolman Smith made contact and identified the subject as Levi J. Murner. Patrolman Smith asked Levi to exit the vehicle to speak with him. Patrolman Smith conducted a pat down and located a pill container in the pocket of Levi’s sweatshirt. Levi advised Patrolman Smith that the container contained a Klonopin. Deputy Carr arrived and observed the container with one round tablet with the markings E (over) 64. The tablet was identified as a 1mg Clonazepam tablet. Levi was advised of his rights and asked how he came to be in possession. Levi stated he found it in the car, but could not say how it ended up in his pocket. Deputy Carr asked Levi if he had a prescription for Clonazepam, which he stated he did not. Levi Jacob Murner, age 24, 131 E. Pollock Street, Paden City, WV, was placed under arrest for drug possession, and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 14 Jan 18 Deputy Jones responded to State Route 7, Marietta, to assist Reno Volunteer Fire Department with shutting down the roadway near the apartments where a fire was located. The fire was extinguished by fire personnel.
On 14 Jan 18 Deputy Zide began an investigation at the residence of Jennifer L. Lyons, 103 Chapel Avenue, Marietta, where items were removed from her residence. This case remains under investigation.
On 14 Jan 18 Deputy Carr began an investigation at the Dollar General, Orchard drive, Little Hocking in reference to a shoplifting. This case remains under investigation.
On 15 Jan 18, two dogs belonging to Christi Carney, 1400 Smith Lane, Whipple, ran loose from her residence and onto another neighbor’s property. This has been an ongoing issue and when Sgt. McGilton was speaking with the complainant, they advised even after being cited in the past, Christi’s dogs continued to run loose. Sgt. McGilton is requesting a summons through Marietta Municipal Court for failure to restrain a dog.
On 16 Jan 18 Deputy Metts and Deputy Johnson responded to 260 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, to a reported domestic violence incident between father and son. Deputies spoke with Chad W. Warner who reported he was in a verbal and physical altercation with his father, Charles A. Warner. Chad explained he is constantly being told he is worthless and a drug addict and it takes a toll on him and he lost his cool with his father. Chad advised Deputies that he took Charles to the ground and admitted to continuing the violence and scuffle while on the ground. Deputies spoke with Charles and the accounts were the same. Charles explained further that after the initial attack, Chad came back and pushed him into a coffee table causing a small amount of damage to the glass on the table. Chad William Richard Warner, age 32, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

Zackry Pate Taylor, age 24, 242 Pennsylvania Avenue, Marietta, for probation violation, a felony. Taylor was arrested in Chillicothe by Probation Officer Brown of the Adult Parole Authority and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jan 18 at 1:08 pm.
Chad William Richard Warner, age 32, 260 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Warner was arrested at his residence by Deputy Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jan 18 at 9:22 pm.
Jennifer Renea Forshey, age 35, 2703 Washington Blvd., Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Forshey was arrested by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jan 18 at 11:45 pm.
Ashlee Nicole Haught, age 25, 489 Sandhill Road, Marietta, on a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor. Haught was arrested by Deputy Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jan 18 at 1:10 pm.
There are currently 28 females and 107 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
