The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has extended
the

* Flood Warning for Urban Areas and Small Streams in…
Washington County in southeastern Ohio…
Eastern Athens County in southeastern Ohio…
Western Pleasants County in northwestern West Virginia…
Northern Wood County in northwestern West Virginia…

* Until 945 AM EST

* At 621 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that rain was falling over the area. The rain will continue cause
flooding. Two plus inches of rain has already fallen.

* Duck Creek at Whipple and the Little Muskingum at Bloomfield have
gone over their estimated flood stage. They will both crest later
this morning and then start a slow fall and go below the
estimated flood stage this afternoon.

* Other small stream and creeks are running high and may briefly
come out of their banks.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Parkersburg, Marietta, Belpre, St. Marys, Beverly, Vienna,
Williamstown, Belmont, Washington, Lubeck, Boaz, Newport,
Matamoras, North Hills, Lowell, Macksburg, Lower Salem, Little
Hocking, New Matamoras and Fleming.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
