Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission Special News Release 5 Jan 18



 

An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force resulted in trafficking in methamphetamine arrests.

On 4 Jan 18 Agents executed a search warrant in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio. Recovered in the search was approximately 4.5 grams of methamphetamine packaged in separate plastic baggies and a pill bottle, digital scales, smoking pipes, syringes plastic baggies, and other drug paraphernalia used in the consumption and sale of drugs.

Agent also located a plastic container with .04 grams of methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine smoking device on Jennifer Dawn Westmoreland Science.

A presumptive field test of the methamphetamine was conducted with positive indication for methamphetamine.

James Michael Fox Jr., age 47, homeless, was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine, a 3rd degree felony.

Jennifer Dawn Westmoreland Science, age 45, 127 State Route 821, Marietta, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a 5th degree felony.

Science and Fox were transported to the Washington County Jail for processing and appeared in Marietta Municipal Court on 5 Jan 18.  Science is being held on a $10,000 bond and Science is being held on a $2500 bond.

The Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force is part of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Organized Crime Investigation Commission and is comprised of representatives of Post 84 of the Ohio State Highway Patrol; Washington, Morgan and Noble County Sheriff’s Offices; the Marietta, Belpre and McConnelsville Police Departments; and the Washington, Morgan and Noble County Prosecutor’s Office.
