On 29 Dec 17 Deputy McKee began an investigation in reference to identity fraud. This case remains under investigation.
On 1 Jan 18 Deputy Allender began an investigation into the misuse of a credit card after multiple fraudulent charges appeared on a bank statement. This case remains under investigation.
On 1 Jan 18 Deputy Johnson responded to 215 Belavista Drive, Marietta, to a report of a dispute. Deputy Johnson met with Emily Boyd who reported she was in an argument with Katie McMaster that ended up in a physical altercation. Boyd reported McMaster came into the room and started yelling in her face and pushing her. Boyd states after being pushed back, the physical altercation ensued between the two. McMaster states she was confronted by Boyd before being assaulted without provoking. McMaster explained she only threw a punch after being hit by Boyd first. A summons is being requested for Katie M. McMaster, age 28, and Emily Renee Boyd, age 18, 215 Belavista Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct.
On 1 Jan 18 Deputy Johnson responded to Barlow Township to meet with squad personnel at the scene of a deceased individual. No foul play is reported.
On 1 Jan 18 Deputy A. McConnell along with the Beverly Waterford, Lowell Adams and Watertown Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to 1470 Weppler Road, Lowell, to a trailer fire. This case remains under investigation.
On 2 Jan 18 Deputy Parks was dispatched to 112 Mill Street, Waterford, in reference to Rikki Jones reporting shoving and arguing between Cyril Clifford Pletcher III and Matthew M. Sargent. Deputy Parks will be requesting summons for disorderly conduct against Matthew Mitchell Sargent, age 18, 212 6th Street, Apt. 9, Beverly, as well as Cyril Clifford Pletcher III, age 38, 112 Mill Street, Waterford, OH.
On 2 Jan 18 Sgt. Mankins along with the Beverly Waterford Emergency Squad responded to Luke Chute Road to the scene of a deceased individual. No foul play is reported.
On 2 Jan 18 at approximately 1123 hrs. Kenneth Ray Rogers, age 30, 100 Linwood Avenue, Lot A, Marietta, was brought to the Washington County Jail by the Marietta City Police Department on multiple warrants. Rogers was asked by Deputy Brown if he had anything on him such as drugs, weapons, or any other contraband. Rogers replied, “I don’t do drugs”. Deputy Brown again asked Rogers if he had any contraband on him and explained to him that he would be charged if Officers found contraband in his possession with Rogers stating, “No, I don’t have anything”. Deputy Brown completed a search of Rogers and found a glass pipe in his jacket that was burnt on one end. When asked about the pipe Rogers stated, “It’s not mine, and I don’t do drugs. Someone must have planted it on me”. Rogers was read his Miranda Rights to which he waived. Rogers explained to me that the jacket was his property and he did not know who the glass pipe belonged to or how it got into his jacket. A charge of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia was added to the charges Rogers was being held on.
On 2 Jan 18 John Gohlke, 918 Mitchell Avenue, Beverly, reported his semi-tractor trailer entered and items stolen while parked in Beverly, Ohio. A television, electronics, misc. tools and fluids were removed from the tractor. This case remains under investigation. (799)
On 2 Jan 18 jail personnel noted suspicious activity in a dorm area. Officers responded to the dorm and observed Brian Mincks, Joshua Sprouse and Michael Slonaker exiting the bathroom. These inmates were removed and a search of the bathroom was conducted. While inspecting the bathroom Officers found one of the sink drain traps was loose and after inspecting further found a screw from the light in the drain. A total of four bolts and one screw were removed from the light. Further investigation revealed Mincks, Sprouse and Slonaker in the bathroom while the light was being disassembled. Mincks was observed standing on the toilet and doing what appeared to be messing with the light, and upon Officers approaching the bathroom the inmates quickly walked away. All three subjects denied tampering with the light cover, and refused to provide a written statement. Mincks did admit to being in the bathroom at the time it was dismantled. A summons is being requested for Brian Russell Mincks, age 36, 750 Ruble Avenue, Belpre, OH, Joshua E. Sprouse, age 36, 132 Alpine Street, Mineral Wells, WV, and Michael D. Slonaker, age 34, 316 Main Street, New Matamoras, OH, on charges of criminal damaging.

Mark M. Smith, 2104 12th Avenue, Parkersburg, WV, for theft.
Deangelo L. Thompson, 2291 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, for driving under suspension.
The following suspect was processed into the Washington County Jail between Tuesday 2 Jan 18 and Wednesday 3 Jan 18:
Kenneth Ray Rogers, age 30, 100 Linwood Avenue, Lot A, Marietta, for contempt of court, breach of recognizance, 2 counts theft, 4 counts violate a protection order, resisting arrest and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors. Rogers was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Dennis of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jan 18 at 2:10 pm. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was added to his charges by Deputy Brown of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Savanna Kaylee Henry, age 24, 532 Fithian Avenue, Youngstown, OH, for burglary, a felony, and theft, a misdemeanor. Henry was picked up in Mahoning County by Deputy Doak of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jan 18 at 3:22 pm.
Christopher Mathew Hoce, age 29, 1312 39th Street, Parkersburg, WV, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Hoce was arrested by Deputy Malone of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jan 18 at 4:39 pm.
Justin Ray Oliver, age 33, 111 Cullen Road, Marietta, for obstructing official business, 2 counts felonious assault and aggravated robbery, all felonies. Oliver was arrested by Patrolman Smith of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jan 18 at 5:36 pm.
Paula Jean Walker, age 30, 650 13th Street, Apt. B, Parkersburg, WV, on a warrant for contempt of court order, a misdemeanor. Walker was arrested by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jan 18 at 1:52 am.
There are currently 18 females and 92 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
