On 12 Dec 17 Deputy Schwendeman along with the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department responded to 12910 State Route 550, Barlow, in reference to Jared Estes reporting his garage on fire. No foul play is suspected.
On 13 Dec 17 Sgt. McGilton received a call in reference to a loose dog belonging to Emily Boyd of 215 Bellavista Drive, Marietta, going onto a neighbor’s property. Once on the neighbor’s property, Emily’s dog attacked the neighbor’s dog, this being the second time the dog had gotten loose and attacked the dog. Prior to Sgt. McGilton’s arrival, Emily retrieved her dog and restrained it back on her property. Emily advised the dog had pushed the door open escaping the residence and admitted that this was the second time her dog had gotten loose and attacked the neighbor’s dog. Sgt. McGilton has requested a summons be issued to Emily Boyd, age 28, 215 Bellavista Drive, Marietta, Ohio, for failing to restrain her dog.
On 13 Dec 17 Deputy J. McConnell began an investigation at 75 Sandhill Road, Marietta, where storage buildings were entered. This case remains under investigation.
On 14 Dec 17 Deputy Johnson began an investigation in reference to a domestic dispute. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.

On 15 Dec 17 Deputy Schwendeman responded to 107 Wilson Avenue, Marietta in reference to Darrell Brisker reporting his detached garage had been entered sometime during the night. Darrell stated upon going to the garage this morning, the latch on the outside of the door was opened. The only items missing from Darrell’s garage were a Stihl MS 170 chainsaw in an orange hard case and a Bostitch finish nailer in a black hard case. A neighborhood canvas was completed and a Stihl MS 170 chainsaw in a hard case was located sitting in front of storage unit 194 at Smith Rentals facility on Ellsworth Avenue. Darrell was shown the chainsaw and he positively identified it as the one taken from his garage. Through a separate investigation, Detective McPeek had spoken with Steven K. Fordyce. Detective McPeek read Fordyce his Miranda Rights and Fordyce admitted to entering Darrell’s garage and taking the chainsaw and finish nailer. The defendant agreed to take us to the location of the finish nailer, which was in a wooded area behind C&C Dodge. The finish nailer was also shown to Darrell and he positively identified it as the one taken from his garage. Fordyce apologized to Darrell for his actions. Steven K. Fordyce, age 27, 67 White Oak Lane, Mineral Wells, WV, was placed under arrest and charged with burglary and theft. Fordyce was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

Ross L. Phillips, 331 Main Street, Lower Salem, Ohio, for failure to appear. Original charge was breach of recognizance.

Patrick Ryan Marte, age 32, 1010 Poplar Street, Belpre, Ohio, for criminal trespass and litter public/private property, both misdemeanors. Marte was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Tewanger of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 17 at 9:53 am.
Angela Jo Lusk, age 34, 5061 Holbrook Road, West Union, Ohio, for complicity, theft, a misdemeanor. Lusk was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 17 at 6:09 pm.
Steven Tony Lusk, age 39, 5061 Holbrook Road, West Union, Ohio, for theft, a misdemeanor. Lusk was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 17 at 7:43 pm.
Brian Lee Miller, age 52, 212 Maple Street, Marietta, Ohio, for theft, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 17 at 8:17 pm.
Christopher Amos White, age 41, 230 High Street, Conneaut Lake, PA, for OVI, left of center, and no seat belt, all misdemeanors. White was arrested at Speedway by Trooper Seabolt of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Dec 17 at 1:13 am.
