On 11 Dec 17 Lt. Hunter responded to meet with Elmer Wenzel, 17977 SR 26, Reno, who had sustained a dog bite while trying to break up a fight with his dogs. This case is closed.
On 12 Dec 17 Sgt. Holbert responded to Adams Township in reference to a domestic disturbance. After speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.
On 12 Dec 17 Deputy Carr began an investigation regarding a missing firearm from a residence. This case remains under investigation.

On 12 Dec 17 Lt. Hunter along with Deputy Hall went to 183 Fourth Street, Lowell, OH, in an attempt to locate Amanda Wallace due to multiple warrants for her arrest.
Deputy Hall encountered a van leaving the residence and stopped the van, requesting all of the identifications of everyone inside. A female exited the van and advised she did not have any ID on her. Lt. Hunter arrived and spoke with the female and inquired about her name and date of birth. The female first advised Lt. Hunter that she was Ceorla Simpson and her date of birth was 5-16-93. Lt. Hunter advised her he felt she was lying and she then told him her name was Felicia Wallace and her date of birth was 9-10-90. The female was then placed under arrest for obstructing official business and as Lt. Hunter was taking her to the patrol car she advised that she was actually Amanda Wallace and she lied because she knew she had warrants and did not want to go to jail. The occupants of the vehicle confirmed Wallace’s identity, as well as other documentation. Amanda Asia Wallace, age 23, 11121 Veto Road, Marietta, OH, was charged with obstructing official business, a 2nd degree misdemeanor, and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 12 Dec 17 the Washington County Jail received a warrant from Wetzel County, WV, for the arrest of Larry Paul Cork, age 29, Rt 2, Box 322, Middlebourne, WV. Information was verified between the warrant and booking information on Cork finding Cork to be the individual wanted by Wetzel County. Fugitive from justice charges were filed on Cork through Marietta Municipal Court.
On 13 Dec 17 Sgt. Reeder met with Cindy A. Biss, 8711 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, OH, who reported items stolen from her mailbox. This case remains under investigation.
On 13 Dec 17 Deputy A. McConnell began an investigation into a subject having a credit card used without permission. This case remains under investigation.
On 13 Dec 17 Deputy Parks began an investigation into scam through a checking account. This case remains under investigation.
On 13 Dec 17 Deputy Allender was dispatched to the Lowell Dollar General, 10200 State Route 60, Lowell, OH, in reference to a theft incident. A witness reported a male subject had stolen clothing from a rack outside of the Dollar General. Contact was made with the witnesses and the statements were consistent regarding David L. Slagle, who they both were familiar with, drive to the Dollar General and take clothing from an outside clothing rack, ball it up, and stuff it into his hoodie, then driving away. Video surveillance confirms Slagle in the driver’s seat of a vehicle before the vehicle left the lot. Both witnesses advised Slagle was the driver of the vehicle. Deputy Allender met with Slagle at his residence and when questioned Slagle admitted to taking the items. Slagle returned five pairs of pants to Deputy Allender, stating he forgot his wallet and was going to go back and pay for the items. David Lee Slagle, Jr., age 36, 4869 Rainbow Road, Lowell, was placed under arrest for theft and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. A citation for driving under suspension was also issued to Slagle.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Wednesday 13 Dec 17 and Thursday 14 Dec 17:
Zachary Todd Lindemood, age 25, 106 Maple Ave., Woodsfield, Ohio, for trafficking in drugs and drugs possession, both felonies. Lindemood was arrested at Speedway by Trooper Seabolt of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 17 at 5:41 pm.
Damon Shawn Gandee, age 22, 339 Maple Drive, Mineral Wells, WV, for two counts of trafficking in drugs, both felonies. Gandee was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 17 at 7:58 pm.
David Lee Slagle, Jr., age 36, 4869 Rainbow Road, Lowell, Ohio, for theft. Slagle was arrested in Lowell by Deputy Allender of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 17 at 8:35 pm.
There are currently 25 females and 94 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
