An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Parkersburg man.

On 12 Dec 17 Damon Gandee met with an undercover officer on Pike Street, Marietta, Washington County, OH, where he delivered/sold 1.18 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a schedule II substance.  On 13 Dec 17 Gandee again met with an undercover officer  at the same location in Washington County where he delivered /sold 29.74 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a schedule II substance.

Gandee admitted the substance he delivered was methamphetamine.  The 1.18 grams as well as the 29.74 grams of suspected methamphetamine were field tested, with the field test providing a positive indication for methamphetamine.

Damon Shawn Gandee, age 22, 339 S. Maple Drive, Mineral Wells, WV, was arrested for 2 counts of trafficking methamphetamine, a 2nd degree felony and 4th degree felony.

Gandee appeared in Marietta Municipal Court on 14 Dec 17 on the drug trafficking charges. Gandee is being held on $40,000.00 and $2500.00 bonds.

The Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force is part of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Organized Crime Investigation Commission and is comprised of representatives of Post 84 of the Ohio State Highway Patrol; Washington, Morgan and Noble County Sheriff’s Offices; the Marietta, Belpre and McConnelsville Police Departments; and the Washington, Morgan and Noble County Prosecutor’s Office.
