On 8 Dec 17 Michael A. Siders, 124 Tennis Center Drive, Apt. 2C, Marietta, reported his 1997 Chevy Blazer removed from the property.  This case remains under investigation.  (415)

On 9 Dec 17 at approximately 1348 hrs. Deputy Schwendeman  was sitting stationary near milepost 4 on Interstate 77.  Deputy Schwendeman observed a red Jeep traveling in the northbound passing lane at a rate of speed which appeared higher than the posted 70 mph limit. He also observed the Jeep passing several other vehicles in a line of traffic, all of which appeared to be traveling within the posted speed limit.  Deputy Schwendeman activated the radar unit which emitted a high-pitched audible tone and displayed a reading of 81 miles per hour, which was consistent with his visual estimation.  A traffic stop was conducted on the Jeep, which was bearing Kentucky registration.  The driver, Brian R. Dyson, 384 Independence Lane, Olive Hill, KY, was stopped and advised he would be receiving a citation for speed.

On 10 Dec 17 Kenneth Taylor, 57011 SR 7, New Matamoras, OH and Lewis Taylor, 50785 SR 7, New Matamoras, OH,  reported garages entered and items to include a weed eater, toolbox and other items were removed.   This case remains under investigation. (415)

On 10 Dec 17 at 1900 hours Jessica Kincaid, 9772 State Route 555, Cutler, OH, arrived at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to report an assault which occurred earlier in the day, at approximately 1230 hrs. Kincaid states that she and her boyfriend, Heath Warren, reside together at the State Route 555 address.  Warren has two children in common with Teleasha Kemp.  Kincaid states that Teleasha Kemp arrived at the residence, entering through an unlocked door without permission and struck Kincaid in the left eye.  After Kemp struck Kincaid she flipped the kitchen table and proceeded upstairs to get her children from the home.  Warren instructed Kemp to leave the property and they have both told Kemp multiple times that she has to stop entering the residence.  A witness that spoke with Kemp admitted to her that she did do this.   A temporary protection order was requested by Kincaid.  Kemp arrived at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Monday 11 Dec 17 and was placed under arrest for assault and aggravated burglary and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

Lisa L. Runnion, 307 Maple Street, Marietta, Ohio, for failure to appear. Original charge was robbery.

James C. Parmiter, 32 Orel Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, for failure to appear. Original charge was tampering with evidence.

Mark A. Valentine, homeless, for probation violation. Original charge was domestic violence.

Christopher M. Hoce, 1312 39th Street, Parkersburg, WV, for probation violation. Original charge was OVI.

Jerry A. Mitchell, 910 Hunt Avenue, Charleston, WV, for probation violation. Original charge was OVI.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday 8 Dec 17 and Monday 11 Dec 17:

Corissa Angelina Gonzales, age 28, 112 Peters Street, Byesville, Ohio, for auto theft, a felony and inducing panic, a misdemeanor. Gonzales was arrested by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Dec 17 at 9:49 am.

Derek Skylar Steward, age 30, 188 3rd Street, Lowell, Ohio, for a probation violation, a misdemeanor. Steward was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Young of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Dec 17 at 10:13 am.

Christopher Lee Baughman, age 25, 174 Oil Springs Road, Petroleum, WV, for failure to comply order/signal, a felony. Baughman was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Deputy Malone of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Dec 17 at 2:45 pm.

Larry Allen Spence, age 48, 6254 Chestnut Ridge Drive, Wooster, Ohio, on warrants for OVI, drug instruments possession, driving under suspension and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors. Spence was arrested by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Dec 17 at 6:45 pm.

Brian Keith Edgar, age 31, 445 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, Ohio, on warrants for breach of recognizance and unauthorized use of motor vehicle, both felonies, endangering children, drug instruments possession and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Edgar was arrested by Patrolman Ritchie of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 17 at 12:07 am.

Glenna May Brooker, age 37, 3200 County Road 9, Reno, Ohio, on a warrant for FRA suspension, a misdemeanor. Brooker was arrested in Noble County by Sgt. Holbert of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 17 at 2:39 am.

Kevin Cole Siegfried, age 37, 807 Gilman Street, Marietta, Ohio, for OVI, driving under suspension and row public highway, all misdemeanors.  Siegfried was arrested on Gilman Avenue by Trooper Hutton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 17 at 4:13 am.

Lindsey Maureen Proebstle, age 19, 147 Saddle Lane, Waverly, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor. Proebstle was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Dec 17 at 4:44 pm.

Kira Jean Witty, age 18, 147 Saddle Lane, Waverly, WV, for theft a misdemeanor. Witty was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Dec 17 at 5:10 pm.

Ruben Ronald Quiroz, age 25, 1745 Bald Eagle, Stockport, Ohio, for drug possession, a felony and drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Quiroz was arrested on Harmar Street by Patrolman Ritchie of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Dec 17 at 2:13 am.

Teleasha Nicole Kemp, age 23, 73 Cherry Street, Vincent, Ohio, for aggravated burglary, a felony and assault, a misdemeanor. Kemp was arrested at the Criminal Division office by Deputy Hall of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Dec 17 at 1:22 pm.

There are currently 27 females and 88 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
