On 17 Nov 17 Sgt. Johnson began an investigation in reference to electric services being tampered with.  This case remains under investigation.

On 17 Nov 17 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation in reference to a neighborhood child striking another child.  All children were counseled and a refusal to prosecute was given.

On 20 Nov 17 Robert P. Tate, 1582 Congress Road, Belpre, reports a dash camera stolen from his vehicle.  This case remains under investigation.  (507)

On 20 Nov 17 Deputies were dispatched to 27250 State Route 7, Marietta, in reference to an assault in progress.  It was reported that Joseph Porter was being assaulted by Justin A. Harris.  Prior to Deputies arriving, dispatch advised the situation had calmed down, and upon their arrival the subjects were separated. During the investigation it was determined that Harris struck Porter on the left side of his face multiple times.  Porter had redness around his left eye which was consistent with being struck.  Porter advised he did not know what prompted Harris to begin hitting him.  Harris advised Deputies that he was at the residence to visit his children.  The mother of the children lives at the location with Porter.  Harris reports a CO2 BB gun had been pointed at him which led to him hitting Porter.  Harris advised he was scared something was going to happen to him so he started hitting Porter.  There were no witnesses that could corroborate what Harris had reported.  Justin Allen Harris, age 35, 102 Sacra Via Street, Marietta, was placed under arrest for assault and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.  Porter did request a temporary protection order.

On 21 Nov 17 Deputy Johnson began an investigation in reference to telephone harassment.  This case remains under investigation.

On 22 Nov 17 Deputy Johnson responded to 1940 State Route 555, Little Hocking, to a report of a domestic dispute.   Deputy Johnson located Kaylyn P. Cottrell on the front porch of the residence with no shoes trying to gain entry into her residence.  Kaylyn explained her live in boyfriend and father of her children, Steven Sayre, threw her out of the residence multiple times and would not let her in.  Kaylyn further stated he had punched her multiple times in the head. Deputy Johnson was able to observe multiple scratches on her face and a large knot on her forehead.  Kaylyn was placed in the cruiser while Deputy Johnson met with Steven Sayre.   Steven explained that they had been drinking for hours and a verbal argument started.  Steven states he was attempting to sleep in a recliner and Kaylyn began yelling at him and poking him. Steven states after some time he had enough and kicked Kaylyn to get her away from him, which occurred multiple times and Kaylyn continued. Steven states he wanted Kaylyn to leave the residence and when she would not leave he grabbed her and forced her out of the residence.  Steven L Sayre, age 33, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.  Kaylyn refused to fill out a statement and did not wish to have a protection order in place.

Logan David Dalrymple, age 29, 1695 SR 260, New Matamoras, OH, for two counts of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Dalrymple was arrested on Cemetery Road by Patrolman Smith of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 17 at 11:51 pm.

Christina Dawn Ward, age 41, 1200 Park Avenue, New Matamoras, OH, for endangering children, a misdemeanor. Ward was picked up at North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Doak of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 17 at 3:35 pm.

Katie Lynn Bishoff, age 26, P.O. Box 875, Mason Town, WV, for failure to appear, a felony. Bishoff was picked up at Tygart Valley by Deputy Malone of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 17 at 6:10 pm.

Jessica Ann Bonnell, age 33, 1093 Silver Run Road, Cairo, WV, for theft, speed, OVI, and no seatbelt, all misdemeanors. Bonnell was arrested by Trooper Gossett of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 17 at 7:34 am.

Richard Carl Flood, age 52, 204 Ferry Street, Beverly, OH, for aggravated menacing, telephone harassment and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors. Flood was arrested in Beverly by Deputy McKee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 17 at 12:53 pm.

Timothy Matthew Ryan, age 27, 325 Sandhill Road, Marietta, OH, for domestic violence, a felony. Ryan was arrested at his residence by Deputy McKee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 17 at 3:40 pm.

Katie Annette Graham, age 35, 330 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, OH, for domestic violence, a felony. Graham was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Nov 17 at 9:54 am.

Tyler Scott Reed, age 26, 723 Mitchell Avenue, Beverly, OH, on a warrant for OVI, a misdemeanor. Reed was arrested on Coal Run Road by Trooper Knowlton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 17 at 2:12 am.

Erin Marie Stewart, age 43, 224 Caro Lane, Marietta, OH, for OVI and open container, both misdemeanors. Stewart was arrested by Deputy Allender of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 17 at 6:35 pm.

Kevin Michael Ridgeway, age 28, 403 Main Street, New Matamoras, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ridgeway was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Curry of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 17 at 10:35 pm.

Bryan Ray Cowger, age 44, 2309 Meldahl Road, Washington, WV, for tampering with evidence and drug possession, both felonies and drug instrument possession, a misdemeanor. Cowger was arrested at the Belpre Toll Bridge by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 17 at 11:08 pm.

Kaitlyn Dawn Townsend, age 22, 401 Hickory Street, Parkersburg, WV, for drug paraphernalia, possession of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and drugs possession, all misdemeanors. Townsend was arrested at the Belpre Toll Bridge by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 17 at 11:52 pm.

Jerry Edward Jones, Jr., age 38, 33779 Big Lick Road, New Matamoras, OH, for two counts of domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Jones was arrested picked up in Monroe County by Deputy Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Nov 17 at 2:01 am.

Richard Andrew Wright, age 32, 4352 Mary Street, Shallotte, NC, for operating with expired driver’s license, a misdemeanor. Wright was arrested in Canton by Trooper Knowlton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Nov 17 at 2:36 am.

Miranda Dawn Derby, age 33, 735 N. Seventh Street, Marietta, OH, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.  Derby was arrested by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 17 at 10:49 am.

Lorrie Lee Lucas, age 40, 209 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, OH, on a warrant for drug possession, a felony.  Lucas was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 17 at 12:39 pm.

Jonathan David Ward, age 34, 452 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH, on a warrant for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Ward was arrested by Parole Officer E. Brockmeier of the Marietta Probation Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 17 at 1:14 pm.

Craig Michael Cox, age 27, 1822 Jonestown Road, St. Marys, WV, for burglary, a felony. Cox was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Smith of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 17 at 1:35 pm.
