On 15 Nov 17 Bill Wright with Wright’s Automotive reported a 1999 GMC truck was taken to National Muffler and Brake, 114 Ellsworth Avenue, Marietta. Upon checking on the vehicle it was discovered that the truck had been stolen. This case remains under investigation. (178)
On 16 Nov 17 Deputy Johnson was dispatched to 3569 Veto Road, Vincent, to take a theft report. Terri Hayes, 8184 SR 329, Stewart, Ohio, reported Natasha Salyer had taken a 18 ct. gold ring and a $100 bill which belonged to her. Prior to Deputy Johnson arriving, Natasha returned the items to Terri to keep herself from going to jail. Natasha was located locked in the bathroom which was later unlocked. Natasha turned over an empty syringe to Deputy Johnson before we exited the residence. Natasha advised that she has an addiction and took the items today to buy drugs. Previously on 7 Nov 17 Deputy Johnson responded to the same address and spoke with the property owner who reported a window had been shattered and a 55” Toshiba flat screen TV was missing from the residence. Natasha was a suspect in this theft and finally admitted to taking a rock to break the window and took the TV and later pawned it. Deputy Johnson observed multiple spoons, needles and other drug abuse instruments. Prior to leaving the scene Natasha admitted to having a baggie of Xanax hidden in her body cavity. Natasha Marie Salyer, age 27, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Natasha was charged with possession of Xanax, possession of drug abuse instruments, theft and criminal damaging.
On 16 Nov 17 Deputy Metts along with the Beverly Waterford Emergency Squad responded to Sand Ridge Road to a deceased male subject. Case is closed at this time.
On 17 Nov 17 Deputy A. McConnell responded to Warren Township in reference to a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
The following warrant was received at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:
Christina D. Ward, 1200 Park Avenue, Room 6, New Matamoras, Ohio, for child endangerment.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Thursday 16 Nov 17 and Friday 17 Nov 17:
Amanda Lynn Dobbins, age 36, 183 Butcher Bend Road, Mineral Wells, WV, for driving under suspension and no seatbelt, both misdemeanors. Dobbins was arrested in Belpre by Deputy A. McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Nov 17 at 2:51 am.
Lindsey Mae Tornes, age 27, 1160 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta for fugitive from justice. Tornes was arrested at her residence by Deputy Metts of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Nov 17 at 7:29 am.
There are currently 27 females and 88 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
