Largo is a 14-month-old Dutch Shepherd. He is the newest addition to WCSO. Deputy Jason Hall and Largo completed 6 weeks of K9 training and were certified through OPOTA on November 13, 2017. The training was conducted by Merry K9 Services LLC out of Norwich, Ohio. Largo is a dual purpose dog; so, he can detect explosives, conduct tracking, complete article searches, patrol, and apprehend. Largo and his training were paid for by a grant through the Department of Homeland Security. Largo and Deputy Hall will be one of three explosive detection teams for the Department of Homeland Security’s district 8.
