On 14 Oct 17 a dog belonging to Kimberly Miley-Jones, 1312 Glendale Road, Marietta, became loose from her restraint and attacked an individual. Kimberly advised she had the dog’s leash tied to her chair and when she untied the leash to take the dog inside her residence it had gotten loose. The dog then attacked and injured a neighbor who was invited onto the property. A summons is being requested for Kimberly Miley-Jones for failing to keep her dog under reasonable control through Marietta Municipal Court. (805)

On 26 Oct 17 at approximately 1606 hrs. Shawna Hollingsworth called the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and advised she received a text message from Michael D. Hollingsworth on today’s date. Sgt. Thorpe and Lt. Hunter responded to Shawna’s residence at 108 Washington Street, Waterford, to meet with her and view the aforementioned text message from a contact named “Mike”. Shawna advised Deputies the contact name Mike is what she has Michael Hollingsworth’s contact information entered into her cellular phone as. The text message from Michael stated, “I want to come by and get my meds, you should at least grant that request. I haven’t had them for 2 days. My back is killing me”. Michael was later located and admitted to sending the text message to Shawna from his cellular phone. Michael further acknowledged he knew he was not to have any form of contact with her. While speaking with Michael a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected emitting from his person. Michael admitted to consuming alcohol prior to coming into contact with Deputies. Michael Dean Hollingsworth, age 53, 94 Washington Street, Waterford, was placed under arrest for violation of a temporary protection order and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Once at the Jail Michael submitted to a BAC test, with the results being .104.
On 27 Oct 17 Deputy Zide was patrolling State Route 7 when he observed a vehicle approaching his location at a high rate of speed. Once the vehicle got closer to Deputy Zide’s location the driver slowed considerably, hitting its brakes hard causing the front end of the vehicle to dive. Deputy Zide began following the vehicle at which time the driver crossed the right fog line a full tire width. A traffic stop was then initiated on the vehicle. Deputy Zide was able to detect a strong smell of marijuana upon making contact with the occupants. Deputy Zide inquired as to who in the vehicle had the marijuana, with all three occupants admitting to having marijuana. Deputy Zide requested the three turn over the marijuana, at which time they all gave Deputy Zide the marijuana either in bud form or wrapped in paper for smoking. Christopher E. Colston, age 23, 26242 Buckthorn Road, Oakwood Village, OH, Kerby D. Harrison, 6378 Glenallen Avenue, Solon, OH, and Chaz A. Rollins, 5851 Scharlet Oak Drive, Bedford, OH, were issued citations for possession of a controlled substance.
On 27 Oct 17 Deputy Schwendeman filed charges for unruly child on a Waterford Township resident after he/she left the home in the middle of the night. The child was located. These charges will be filed through Washington County Juvenile Court.
On 28 Oct 17 James Canter, 183 Morris Loop Road, Marietta, reported damage to his residence. This case remains under investigation. (415)
On 29 On 27 Oct 17 Deputy Parks filed charges for unruly child on a Liberty Township resident after he/she left the home and could not be located. The child was later located. These charges will be filed through Washington County Juvenile Court.

Shuster was arrested in Macksburg by Trooper Roe of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 17 at 1:22 pm.
Jordan Brady Mincks, age 20, Outpost Road, Belle Valley, OH, for improper handling of a firearm, a felony, OVI, drug paraphernalia, drug possession and no seat belt and row public highway, all misdemeanors. Mincks was arrested in Macksburg by Trooper Roe of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 17 at 2:38 pm.
Joshua Don Martin, age 37, 309 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, on a warrant for contempt of court order, a misdemeanor. Martin was arrested at Giant Eagle in Marietta by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 17 at 3:12 pm.
Raymond Edwin Trivett, Jr., age 62, 210 ½ Fourth Street, Beverly, on a warrant for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor. Trivett was arrested and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 17 at 3:55 pm.
Robert Leigh Smith, age 34, 1603 Beaver Street, Parkersburg, WV, on a warrant for receiving stolen property, a felony. Smith was picked up at Denmar Correctional Facility by Deputy Sheaves of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Oct 17 at 5:54 pm.
Jeremy Michael Charlton, age 37, 819 Marple Street, Belpre, for domestic violence and violation of a protection order, both misdemeanors. Charlton was arrested by Deputy W. Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Oct 17 at 5:54 pm.
Alex Jacks Handschumacher, age 39, 113 Dayton Road, Marietta, for two probation violations and breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Handschumacher was arrested by Deputy Allender of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail o 28 Oct 17 at 11:45 pm.
Kimberly Renee Hesson, age 18, 155 Sunset Drive, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, drug possession, felonies and drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Hesson was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Zide of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Oct 17 at 2:13 am.
Jess Daniel Dixon, age 35, 22883 State Route 339, Beverly, for illegal conveyance of a weapon/items in a detention facility, a felony, two counts of failure to appear, drugs possession and drug instruments possession, all misdemeanors. Dixon was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Oct 17 at 8:12 pm.
Aaron Joseph Streight, age 38, 724 Seventh Street, Marietta, for menacing, a misdemeanor. Streight was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Oct 17 at 9:35 pm.
