On 11 Oct 17 Deputy Schwendeman responded to Par Mar #2, 8600 State Route 339, Vincent,  to a report a water hose and spray nozzle stolen from behind the store.  Deputy Schwendeman met with store personnel who advised in viewing video footage they observed a subject taking the hose and nozzle.  The footage was viewed by Deputy Schwendeman, recognizing the subject as Fredrick Gale McKitrick, age 35, 125 County Road 9, Marietta, along with the vehicle known to be operated by McKitrick.   Contact with McKitrick was made in which he replied that he would buy them another hose.  A summons is being requested for McKitrick for theft through Marietta Municipal Court.

On 12 Oct 17 Joshua D. McCauley, 1788 Rosebush Road, Newport, reported a trail camera stolen from property in Marietta Township.  This case remains under investigation.  (1504)

On 13 Oct 17 William L. Skinner, 13760 Waterford Road, Waterford, reported his property entered and numerous firearms removed.  This case remains under investigation. (594)

On 13 Oct 17 Deputy Metts met with a juvenile at the Washington County Career Center wo advised that his wallet was stolen.  The victim was approached by two subjects offering him cash and a different wallet because he had his stolen.  Deputy Metts spoke with the one subject, Brandon D. Wallace, 229 Fourth Street, Lowell, who admitted to stealing the juvenile’s wallet and removing all of the cash.  He stated that he then threw the wallet out the window.  A summons is being requested for Wallace for theft through Marietta Municipal Court.

On 13 Oct 17 Deputy McConnell  was dispatched to Salem Township in reference to a juvenile not returning home after school.   The juvenile was located in Beverly and charges of unruly child will be filed through Washington County Juvenile Court.

On 13 Oct 17 Darrell J. Cunningham, 5285 Buchannan Road, Waterford, reported  items stolen from McCarty Trucking in Lower Salem.  This case remains under investigation.  (415)

On 13 Oct 17 Deputy Allender met with Elizabeth Varner, 53158 SR 681, Reedsville, OH, who was sitting stationary at the BP parking lot on Arrowhead Road when Kevin L. Allen, 24875 Rowley Lane, Coolville, OH, was backing up and struck her 2003 Honda with his 2002 Ford Heavy Duty.  A private property crash was completed.

On 13 Oct 17 at approximately 2034 hours Deputy Brown responded to an assault complaint in the jail.  Deputy Brown met with Zachary Schoolcraft who advised Christopher Streight had slapped him in the face.  Zachary stated he and Streight had been in a verbal  argument.  Zachary stated that he made a comment to Streight  about wanting to smack him at which time Streight walked up to him and slapped him in the face.  Streight advised Deputy Brown he had struck Zachary in the face once.  Streight stated he did this because of the comment Zachary had made.  A charge of assault was filed on Christopher Allen Streight, age 31, 610 Washington Square, Marietta, OH.

On 15 Oct 17 Sgt. Reeder issued a traffic citation to Terry H. Ullum, 62867 SR 124, Long Bottom, OH, for speed, and no motorcycle endorsement.

On 14 Oct 17 Lt. Hornbeck responded to 106 Meadowcrest Lane, Little Hocking, in reference to Tammy Martin reporting her husband, Isaac Martin, was extremely intoxicated and she had locked him out of the home.  Isaac had gone to the bedroom window and pushed the AC unit into the bedroom, causing it to fall onto the dresser.  Isaac also told the subjects in the home not to drive the car anywhere because he had cut the brake lines.   Isaac was located and did appear to be extremely intoxicated, having glassy eyes, being unsteady on his feet and slurring his speech.  There was also a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage about his person.  Isaac was taken into custody and while sitting in the patrol vehicle was verbally abusive towards his wife.  Isaac’s parole officer was contacted in which a probation violation charge was placed on Isaac as well.  Isaac was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and while at the Jail tested .248 BAC.  Isaac advised that he had been drinking beer all day.

On 15 Oct 17 Deputy A. McConnell responded to Lynch Church Road in reference to a subject wanting to harm herself.  Investigation revealed that no threats of hurting herself were made.  Derek Brigner and Tiffany Dickerson both acknowledged that they were in a verbal dispute through the evening.  At one point while Tiffany was eating a bowl of cereal, Derek knocked the bowl spilling it.  Tiffany then threw the cereal on Derek,.  This altercation continued at which time Derek struck Tiffany with a picture frame as well as striking her with a mirror on her back.  Derek continued also with verbal abusive comments and name calling.  Derek denied striking Tiffany however stated he wanted to break something of hers.  Derek Christopher Brigner, age 32, 1014 Lynch Church Hill Road, Marietta, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 15 Oct 17 Detective McPeek responded to 2805 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, in response to a domestic violence incident.   Det. McPeek, assisted by Lt. Hornbeck, met with Savannah Rogers who advised she was out for the evening with a friend at the Whipple Tavern. She states her live in boyfriend, Justin Grahame, arrived at the bar and the two became involved in a verbal altercation and each left the bar separately.  Savannah states a short time later she and her friend arrived at her residence and the argument continued with Justin. Savannah states during the argument Justin pushed her causing her to fall and strike her head and elbow on the wall. This caused Savannah to have pain, discomfort, and a small contusion on the back of her head.   Savannah went outside and Justin followed, continuing to be belligerent and also striking the hood of a vehicle Savannah had rented.  Justin M. Grahame, age 25, 2805 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

On 15 Oct 17 Deputies responded to 683 Wynncrest Drive to a report of reckless driving. The suspect was reported as David Wriston who had felony warrants issued for his arrest.  Deputies noticed movement inside the residence coming from the living room area as someone was looking out the window.  A cellphone tone was heard going off inside the residence.  Deputies surrounded the residence and announced their presence multiple times prior to entering the residence.  Deputies located Heather Hayes, David Wriston and Cameron Wriston.  The three subjects were placed under arrest on the active warrants and secured in handcuffs.  David Wriston was escorted to the patrol car and a pat down was conducted.  David was being moved to the rear passenger side of the vehicle and at which time he pulled away from the Deputy and took off running towards the woods.  Radio contact was made with other Deputies and Wriston was apprehended.  David Wayne Wriston, age 33, was placed under arrest on the warrant as well as being charged with escape.

Misty Gail Sealey, age 39, 2100 Hill Street, Belpre, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Sealey was arrested at her residence by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Oct 17 at 12:45 am.

Dustin Tyler Marcum, age 25, 42600 National Road, Belmont, OH, on two warrants for OVI and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Marcum was picked up in Belmont County by Deputy Sheaves of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Oct 17 at 5:36 pm.

Ronnie Lee Peters, age 48, 114 Dudley Ave., Marietta, for violating protection order, a misdemeanor. Peters was arrested by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Oct 17 at 8:23 pm.

William Hunter Cunningham, age 46, 106 Meadow Crest Lane, Little Hocking, on a warrant for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Cunningham was arrested by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Oct 17 at 2:02 am.

Casey Dawn Morris, age 27, 410 Market Street, Marietta, for two counts of domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Morris was arrested on Gilman Avenue by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Oct 17 at 8:46 pm.

Derek William Deems, age 34, 626 ½ Phillip Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Deems was arrested at the Locker Room Bar by Patrolman Ritchie of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Oct 17 at 11:49 pm.

Isaac Martin, age 47, 106 Meadow Crest Lane, Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct and probation violation, both misdemeanors. Martin was arrested at his residence by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington county Jail on 15 Oct 17 12:27 am.

Derek Christopher Brigner, age 32, 1014 Lynch Church Hill Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Brigner was arrested at his residence by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 17 at 2:49 am.

Justin Michael Grahame, age 25, 2805 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for domestic violence and criminal damaging, both misdemeanors. Grahame was arrested at his residence by Detective McPeek of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 17 at 4:08 am.

Cameron Joe Wriston, age 18, 801 ½ Front Street, Marietta, on two warrants for drug instrument possession and drug possession, both misdemeanors. Wriston was arrested by Deputy Metts of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 17 at 4:28 pm.

David Wayne Wriston, age 33, 683 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, on two warrants for escape and contempt of court order, both felonies. Wriston was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 cot 17 at 5:36 pm.

Heather Ann Riley, age 26, 1023 Third Street, Marietta, on a warrant for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Riley was arrested by Deputy W. Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 17 at 6:09 pm,

Scott Everett Collins, age 32, 208 Grove Street, Marietta, for criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. Collins was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 17 at 7:37 pm.

Joshua Don Martin, age 37, 309 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for violation protection order, a misdemeanor. Martin was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman McElroy of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 17 at 10:29 pm.

Michael James Farnsworth, age 28, homeless, for unlawful restraint, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Oct 17 at 10:55 pm.

There are currently 23 females and 101 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
