On 26 Sep 17 Deputy A. McConnell was dispatched to 1355 Congress Road, Belpre, to meet with a Levi Cross who had located his stolen 1974 Chevy truck. This case remains under investigation.
On 28 Sep 17 at 1751 hrs. Lt. Hunter, along with Deputy McKee were dispatched to 1230 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, in reference to an ATV theft. Richard Harvey contacted dispatch to advise a female with red hair parked her vehicle in his yard and stole his Kawasaki Bayou ATV. Richard reported the female attempted to drive it down the road, but encountered engine problems and had to leave the ATV parked along Mayle Ridge Road. The female then fled into the wooded area near the intersection of Mayle Ridge Road and Norris Road. Deputy McKee patrolled the area in an attempt to locate the suspect. Deputy McKee encountered a nude female in the middle of a field near the 200 block of Backes Road, who matched the description given by Richard. The female was identified as Erica Harvey. Erica later admitted to having stolen the ATV because her car ran out of gas. During the process a neighbor, George Norris, advised Deputies he believed this same female had forcibly entered an uninhabitable residence which he owns at on Backes Road. Norris stated he was mowing around the residence earlier in the day and noticed the front door was fully intact, however once the female was arrested, he noticed the front door had been forcibly kicked in. Due to the above circumstances Lt. Hunter placed Erica Marie Harvey, age 32, 10383 State Route 555, Cutler, under arrest for grand theft auto , a 4th degree felony, and breaking and entering, a 5th degree felony. Erica was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
