On 22 Sep 17 Detective McPeek requested a warrant for the arrest of Douglas Gene Snider, Jr., age 43, 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta on charges of F-5 breaking and entering, F-5 theft from the elderly, F-5 receiving stolen property, F-5 possession of criminal tools and F-5 possession of a controlled substances.  Also a warrant for the arrest of Skylar M. Paul, age 24, 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, on charges of F-3 burglary, and 2 counts F-5 and M-1 receiving stolen property.
Earlier this month the Sheriff’s Office responded to Hanna Road to a burglary complaint.  The door of the home appeared to have been pried upon and the homeowner was missing over $7000 worth of jewelry, X Box One system, X Box One games, shoes, August Steiner watch, guitar w/amp and monitor.  The Sheriff’s Office also investigated a breaking and entering at a Veto Road residence where a generator was stolen.  Witnesses to the Veto Road incident believed Doug Snider was the individual seen in a vehicle near the area.
A search warrant was obtained for the property at 19636 State Route 550 where Snider’s vehicle had been located.  Prior to Deputies arriving a vehicle arrived and picked up Snider and his wife.  Detectives learned that the driver of that vehicle was asked to haul a generator for Snider that Snider had sold.
Deputies arrived at the State Route 550 residence finding Skylar Paul inside playing an X Box One game system, wearing an August Steiner watch.  Also noted were items similar to the ones stolen from Hanna Road.  Paul told Det. McPeek that his stepfather, Douglas Snider Jr., gave him the items, and denied any involvement.  In the driveway was Snider’s truck and inside were several pieces of jewelry, a guitar w/amp, X Box sending unit, Xanax with no label and other items.  Also in a fanny pack with Snider’s ID was more jewelry.  Detectives located a black bag with a crow bar and latex gloves in Snider’s truck.  The property recovered was viewed by the Hanna Road victim and positively identified.   The generator stolen from Veto Road was recovered from the individual that purchased it from Snider for $400 and positively identified.  Detectives spoke with Michelle Snider at the Wood County Sheriff’s Department who had advised she had no knowledge or involvement of the Veto Road breaking and entering or Hanna Road burglary.
On 22 Sep 17 Michelle Snider came to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was placed under arrest for F-3 tampering with evidence for her involvement in getting rid of the stolen generator.

On 24 Sep 17 Deputy Carr met with Jeffrey N. Kennon, 500 Kennon Lane, Marietta, in reference to fuel being stolen.  This case remains under investigation.

On 25 Sep 17 Connie Sue Vaughn, age 46, 11249 Veto Road, Belpre, reported 2 older model mini bikes removed from the property.  This case remains under investigation.  (799)

On 25 Sep 17 Turner One Stop, 18971 SR 339, Waterford, reported an Old Timer knife with sheath removed from a case.  This case remains under investigation.

On 26 Sep 17 Deputy A. McConnell was patrolling the area of State Route 339 near Cross Road, Belpre.  Deputy McConnell a Hyundai parked at the Veto Church of Christ and a female walking near the back of the vehicle.   Contact was made with the female, identified as Kourtney Norris, and a male subject, Zachary Thompson, was present with Kourtney in the parking lot.  Deputy McConnell was advised that they were there talking.  While speaking with Kourtney near her car the odor of raw marijuana was detected oming from the vehicle.  Deputy McConnell asked Kourtney if there was marijuana in the car, and she stated yes. Kourtney stated the marijuana was in a black container in the center console. A search of the vehicle was conducted and the black container of marijuana was located.  Also located were 2 small marijuana cigarettes. Kourtney admitted the marijuana in the vehicle belonged to her.   Kourtney Ann Norris, age 24, 726 Smitherman Road, Washington, WV, was placed under arrest for drug possession and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.   While speaking with Zachary Thompson he stated he was drinking beer while talking to Kourtney.  There was an open 12 ounce beer of Natural Ice located by the passenger door.  Zachary advised it was his beer.  A citation was issued to Zachary  Thompson, for consuming in a motor vehicle.

Skylar Paul, 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, for receiving stolen property.2 counts, and burglary.

Douglas Snider, 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, for possession of drugs and theft.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Tuesday 26 Sep 17 and Wednesday 27 Sep 17:

Stephanie Jeanet Williams, 41, 867 Riggenbach Hill Road, Fleming, for falsification, a misdemeanor.  Williams was arrested by Deputy Zide of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 17 at 12:21 pm.

Jessica Dawn Drake, age 29, 113 Dayton Road, Marietta, on warrants for drug possession, 2 cts. both felonies, and a warrant for drug instrument possession out of Licking County, Ohio.  Drake was picked up in Columbus by Patrolman Hively  of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 17 at 2:12 pm.

Quinn Mitchell Tennant, age 26, 5656 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor.  Tennant was arrested by Patrolman Ellenwood  of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 17 at 4:29 pm.

Thomas Eugene Stevens II, age 37, 51 Ridgewood Road, Williamstown, WV, on a  warrant for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.  Stevens was arrested by Patrolman Ellenwood  of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 17 at 4:43 pm.

Rachel Lauren Rai, age 30, 3090 Inglewood Terrace, Boca Raton, FL, for tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance and drug possession, all felonies.  Rai was arrested on I77 by Trooper Knowlton  of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 17 at 1:04 am.

Traver Carl Paul, age 24, 1331 NW 8th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for tampering with evidence, a felony.  Paul was arrested on I77 by Trooper Knowlton  of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 17 at 2:07 am.

Dalvin Aldoniel Williams, age 18, 2144 NW Fourth Street, Cocomo Beach, FL, for failure to comply with order of police officer, a felony.  Williams was arrested on I77 by Trooper Knowlton  of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 17 at 3:07 am.

Joshua Leroy Gore, age 29, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for probation violation, a felony.  Gore was arrested by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 17 at 10:01 am.

Felicia Dawn Wallace, age 27, 100 Water Street, Lowell, for probation violation, a felony.  Wallace was arrested by Deputy McKee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 17 at 11:35 am.

Brian Keith Edgar, age 31, 445 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, for drug instrument possession, drug paraphernalia and endangering children, all misdemeanors, and unauthorized use of motor vehicle, a felony.  Edgar was arrested by Patrolman Smith  of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 17 at 1:05 pm.

Joshua Edward Sprouse, age 36, 94 Maynard Drive, Little Hocking, for domestic violence, a felony.  Sprouse was arrested by Deputy McKee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 17 at 2:16 pm.

There are currently 24 females and 86 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
