On 18 Sep 17 numerous Deputies responded to 867 Riggenbach Hill Road, Fleming, in reference to an alleged assault with a weapon. Deputies met with Stephanie J. Williams who advised she was driving her vehicle when another vehicle pulled in front of her blocking her path. Williams stated a male and a female then exited the vehicle and approached her. Williams went on to state the two individuals then drug her from her vehicle, assaulted her by punching her in the face and cutting her with what she thought was a razor blade. Williams states the two unidentified individuals left stealing her medication. The Warren Volunteer Fire Department Squad was standing by preparing to render aid to Williams. Wiliams then informed Detective McPeek that her original story was not true. Williams went on to advise Detective McPeek that her medications were in her home and that she fell, never having been assaulted. Williams then jumped out of the ambulance, against advisement, and returned home. Detectives again spoke with Williams at which time it was determined that she had cut herself intentionally and fabricated the whole story. The medication Williams stated was stolen was located, however a large amount was missing, with her stating she had hidden the medication in the bathroom closet. Williams later admitted to taking a large amount of the medication. Stephanie J. Williams, age 41, was placed under arrest for falsification. While en route to the jail Williams began to have a medical emergency causing Deputies to divert to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Deputy Zide filed charges through Marietta Municipal Court requesting a warrant for Williams on a falsification charge.
