WCSO NEWS RELEASES FOR 19 SEP 17
On 15 Sep 17 Deputy Parks was dispatched to 1157 Clement Avenue, Belpre, to meet with Melissa Shepard. Shepard reported an outbuilding entered and items to include a Craftsman miter saw, welder, wheelbarrow, Stihl chainsaw, and fishing items removed. This case remains under investigation.
On 15 Sep 17 Deputy Metts responded to a traffic crash at Lynch Hill Road and Laurel Ridge Road, Adams Township. Zachary P. Prichard, 280 Broome Road, Lowell, was travelling westbound on Lynch Hill Road when he lost control striking a fence and becoming stuck on a utility pole guide wire. No damage was done to the guide wire, however the 2007 Dodge truck received minor damage. A citation for driving under suspension was issued to Prichard.
On 16 Sep 17 Sgt. Reeder was dispatched to 107 Sixth Street, Beverly, in regards to a disturbance. Sgt. Reeder met with Roben McCutcheon, who advised that her son, Joshua Campbell, was out of control and yelling at her and other family members. Sgt. Reeder had been to this address once prior on the same evening when a squad was called to that location. Sgt. Reeder was unable to meet with Joshua as he had left the area. Once Joshua returned to the residence he was apologetic and stated he did not remember saying the things they had reported. He advised he was very frustrated with individuals not helping him. One family member was in fear for her safety as Joshua had made threats to her. She stated she went into the home and locked the doors because she was afraid for her life. Other witnesses seen Joshua in the yard and upon him seeing them make threats in their direction. These subjects each requested a protection order as they feared for their life. Joshua Daniel Campbell, age 32, 107 Sixth Street, Beverly, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and menacing. Joshua Campbell was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 16 Sep 17 the Beverly Waterford Volunteer Fire Department along with Deputy Parks responded to Jukebox Pizza, 620 Main Street, Waterford, to a report of a fire at the business. The fire was extinguished and mutual aid from M & M Fire was cancelled.
On 16 Sep 17 Deputy A. McConnell responded to Marietta Township in reference to a domestic violence investigation. Upon speaking with all parties it was determined this case would be unfounded. Case closed.
On 16 Sep 17 Ray VanKirk, 1845 Sandhill Road, Marietta, reported a 22 Marlin rifle missing from his home. This case remains under investigation. (415)
On 16 Sep 17 Deputy Allender and Deputy Parks responded to 571 Swift Road, Waterford. Deputies were advised that Dalton Ball had struck Haley Oliver’s vehicle with a baseball bat. Deputies met with Oliver, however Ball had left the residence upon their arrival. Deputies observed damage to a driver’ side mirror of a vehicle said to belong to Oliver. Oliver stated she had spent the night at this location and today an argument began over her wanting to take one of their dogs. Oliver states Ball grabbed the dog, pushed her out of the residence and locked the door. Oliver states Ball then exited the residence with a baseball bat at which time Oliver went into the home and retrieved the dog and put it in her vehicle. As Oliver was seated in the driver’s seat Ball struck the mirror with the baseball bat. Oliver further advised that when she was on the phone with the police Ball slammed the car door on her leg. A large swollen mark was observed on Oliver’s leg, consistent with her explanation. Deputies then met with Ball as he returned to the residence. Ball denied having caused the injury to Oliver’s leg. Ball did advise they got into an argument, however could provide no explanation for the injury to the victim. Dalton Matthew Ball, age 19, 571 Swift Road, Waterford, was placed under arrest for assault and criminal damage and was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 16 Sep 17 the Sheriff’s Office received notification that Missi A. Scott was driving a blue Jeep Cherokee on a suspended license near the area of Sandhill Road. Deputy A. McConnell responded to the area after checking the status of Scott’s driving privileges. The vehicle was observed and a traffic stop initiated. Deputy McConnell identified the driver as Missi A. Scott. Scott was asked about her driving privileges and she advised she did not know they were still suspended. A citation was issued to Scott for driving under suspension.
On 16 Sep 17 Sgt. Reeder responded to the Pit Stop Station, 3355 State Route 821, Marietta, in reference to a lost/stolen wallet. Armondo Razo, Lorain, OH, was getting gas and after paying for the gas and driving on I77 noted his wallet was missing. He returned and was unable to locate the wallet near where he was park. This case remains under investigation.
On 16 Sep 17 Rebecca Taylor, 4060 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, reported the home entered and items of value removed, including a PlayStation system and games. This case remains under investigation. (1303).
On 17 Sep 17 Deputy Allender responded to New Matamoras in reference to an assault. The victim declined any prosecution in this case.
On 17 Sep 17 Deputy Johnson along with the Dunham, Little Hocking and Barlow Volunteer Fire Departments responded to 7585 Veto Road, Belpre, to a RV fire. George Ruth reports the electric flashed and then he saw his RV on fire. The fire completely destroyed the RV.

The following individuals were recently sentenced in Washington County Common Pleas Court:
Joshua Alan Beaver, age 37, 202 Dunan Street, New Matamoras, for assault; 15 days county jail.
Felicia Christine Jackson, age 36, 100 Simpson Street, Marietta, for 3rd degree felony complicity to robbery, 90 days county jail.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Friday Monday 18 Sep 17 and Tuesday 19 Sep 17:
Aaron Lee Ireton, age 45, 966 E. Ridge Drive, Lebanon, OH, on a warrant for probation violation out of Montgomery County, OH, a felony. Ireton was arrested by Trooper Payne of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 17 at 5:56 pm.
Margaret Rose Ireton, age 45, 966 E. Ridge Drive, Lebanon, OH, on a warrant for probation violation out of Montgomery County, OH, a felony. Ireton was arrested by Trooper Payne of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 17 at 6:00 pm.
Mark Evan Macaulay, age 36, 2414 Norris Avenue, Belpre, on warrants for drug instrument possession, drug paraphernalia 2 counts, drug possession, domestic violence and breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. MaCaulay was arrested by Deputy Hall of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 17 at 9:06 pm.
There are currently 24 females and 82 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
