On 5 Sep 17 Deputy Hall went to Par Mar #2, Barlow, to take a report of stolen items.  Those items include gloves, bracelet, goggles, and other items.  This case remains under investigation.

On 6 Sep17 Sgt. McGilton responded to 1400 Smith Lane, Whipple, in reference to a complaint of Christi Carney’s dogs running loose and onto a neighbor’s property.  Sgt. McGilton encountered two dogs belonging to Carney enter onto the roadway and approach her patrol vehicle, barking and growling.  These dogs were running loose with six other dogs from Carney’s property.  Carney exited her residence and advised she would restrain the dogs. Sgt. McGilton has been to the property in the past reference the dogs running loose.  A citation for failing to restrain dogs was issued to Carney.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Wednesday 6 Sep 17 and Thursday 7 Sep 17:

Eric Russell Scott Neff, age 26, 274 Ridgewood Drive, Marietta, for menacing and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors.  Neff was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 17 at 3:52 pm.

Jeffrey Dwayne Smith, age 22, 326 ½ Elm Street, Marietta, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.  Smith was arrested by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 17 at 4:38 pm.

Timothy Ilan Clifton, age 31, 4616 Federal Road, Coolville, OH, for possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.  Clifton was arrested by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 17 at 12:42 am.

Nathan Shane Helton, age 31, 4046 Germany Road, Beaver, OH, for probation violation, a felony.  Helton was picked up at the Oriana House by Deputy Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 17 at 10:59 am.

There are currently 19 females and 92 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
