NEWS RELEASES FOR 30 AUG 17


On 28 Aug 17 Roehl Jabez Guadalupe, 4070 State Route 60, Marietta, was attempting to park at National Brake and Muffler, 114 Ellsworth Avenue, Marietta when the vehicle did not stop, jumped the curb and struck the building.  The vehicle and building both sustained damage.  (594)

On 28 Aug 17 Shirley A. Gregor, 37335 State Route 7, Marietta, reported items missing from the home.  This case remains under investigation.  (594)

On 29 Aug 17 Deputy Allender was flagged down at Butler Street, Marietta, by an individual who had found a wallet.  The wallet was taken and attempts to contact the owner have been made.

On 29 Aug 17 Reno Area Water and Sewer, 170 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, reported the theft of numerous tools.  This case remains under investigation.  (594)  washingtoncountysheriff.org video

On 29 Aug 17 Raymond W. Davis, 22935 County Nine Road, New Matamoras, reported damage to a boat.  This case remains under investigation.

On 29 Aug17 Lt. Hornbeck and Sgt. Mankins were dispatched to 629 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre in reference to David Flesher drinking all day and being belligerent. Jill Keller phoned the Sheriff’s Office and stated she was afraid to go home due to David’s drinking.   Lt. Hornbeck arrived and was speaking with David who had passed out on the couch. Sgt. Mankins was in the process of trying to find a safe place for Jill and a juvenile for the night so they would feel safe. Lt. Hornbeck offered to give David a ride to his mother’s house so that his daughter could stay at the home and go to school in the morning. D avid said he wasn’t leaving his house. David was told to go inside so Deputies could speak with Jill Keller and David continued to be disruptive.  David was told numerous times to cease and desist.  David continued to come outside the home and interrupt the Deputies.   David Ray Flesher, age 40, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

Keith Apgar, 11 Olde Penn Drive, Easton, PA, for duty to display OL.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Tuesday 29 Aug 17 and Wednesday 30 Aug 17:

Jacob Matthew Shaffer, age 30, 728 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, for drug paraphernalia, drug instrument possession, drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors.  Shaffer was arrested by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 17 at 2:39 pm.

David Ray Flesher, age 40, 225 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.  Flesher was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 17 at 11:26 pm.

Mark Evan Macaulay, age 35, 2414 Norris Avenue, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.  Macaulay was arrested by Patrolman Whittekind of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 17 at 6:27 am.

There are currently 22 females and 97 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
