On 24 Aug 17 Lt. Norman began an investigation at Pioneer Chevrolet, 1315 Pike Street, Marietta.  It was reported they had been doing work on a vehicle and the individual stopped payment on the check.  This case remains under investigation.

On 24 Aug 17 David Taylor, 513 6th Street, St. Mary’s, WV, reported lumber stolen from the property belonging to Roger D. Anderson, 4450 Barnett Ridge Road, Fleming.  This case remains under investigation.  (1303)

On 24 Aug 17 Sgt. Mankins responded to Warren Township in reference to a domestic dispute.  Upon speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.  Case closed.

On 24 Aug 17 Lt. Hornbeck responded to 11776 State Route 555, Cutler, to a domestic incident.  Lt. Hornbeck spoke with Patricia Gibson who stated her and her live-in boyfriend, Sheldon Hill, have been having issues for the last several days.  Patricia advised on 23 Aug 17 Sheldon wanted to use her car to go visit friends.  Patricia told him no and an altercation took place in the front yard of the residence.  During this incident, Sheldon slapped Patricia across the face two times and hit her in the stomach twice. Patricia is currently six months pregnant. Patricia stated she did strike Sheldon back and slapped him several times.  Patricia then went into the bedroom to sleep and Sheldon was not ready for bed, which also led to an altercation, which escalated into a physical altercation.  Patricia states Sheldon pushed and shoved her out of the bedroom and when she tried to call 911Sheldon took the phone and told her if she called the cops he would make sure they had a reason to arrest him.  Sheldon also threatened to burn down the house.  This altercation then continued into the living room to the area near the front door, and this is when Sheldon grabbed her by the neck and pushed her, which left an abrasion on the left side of her neck as well as her having a sore throat.  A child in the home also witnessed part of the incident.  A protection order was requested along with a warrant for the arrest of Sheldon D. Hill, age 34, for domestic violence.

On 25 Aug 17 Deputy Hall began an investigation at the Warren High School in reference to an unruly juvenile.  This case remains under investigation.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday 25 Aug 17 and Monday 28 Aug 17:

Joey Dean Thomas, age 27, 127 Dunsinane Drive, Parkersburg, WV, for tampering with evidence and drug possession, both felonies, obstructing official business and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. Thomas was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 17 at 9:35 pm.

Shawn Lee Whittekind, age 39, 233 Broughton Avenue, Marietta, for illegal assembly/possession of chemicals and illegal manufacturing/cultivating drugs, both felonies. Whittekind was arrested by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 17 at 1:07 am.

Anthony Christopher Demarco, age 35, 275 Dutch Ridge Road, Guysville, OH, for driving under suspension and speeding, both misdemeanors. Demarco was arrested on State Route 7 by Trooper Rogers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 17 at 10:07 am.

Aleisha Morgan Ashwell, age 27, 1752 Forrest Hills Drive, Vienna, WV, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor. Ashwell was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Greathouse of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 17 at 3:36 pm.

Samuel Leo Myers, age 42, 10 Browns Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct/fighting, a misdemeanor. Myers was arrested at his residence by Deputy Zide of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 17 at 10:39 pm.

Scott Raymond Morrow, age 45, 10 Browns Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct/fighting, a misdemeanor. Morrow was arrested on Browns Road by Deputy Zide of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 17 at 11:18 pm.

Stephen Paul Garner, Jr., age 24, 1210 Broadway Avenue, Parkersburg, WV, on a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor. Garner was served the warrant while he was incarcerated in the County Jail by Lt. Hunter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 17 at 2:57 am.

William Kuhn, age 36, 2209 Washington Blvd, Belpre, for two counts of failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Kuhn was arrested on State Route 665 by Trooper Forshey of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 17 at 4:33 am.

Tammy Lee Boyles, age 46, 908 Swann Street, Parkersburg, WV, for disorderly conduct and possession of controlled substances, both misdemeanors. Boyles was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 17 at 8:24 am.

Iesha Rachelle McFadden, age 21, 288 Ridgewood Drive, Marietta, for two counts of drugs possession, drug paraphernalia, theft and probation violation, all misdemeanors. McFadden was arrested at Buckeye Park by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 17 at 3:32 pm.

Mckenzie Ann Cowman, age 24, 814 Seneca Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Cowman was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Whittington of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 17 at 10:55 pm.

Jennifer Ann Blosser, age 25, 1516 Anderson Road, Fleming, on warrants for pandering sexual oriented material/minor, three counts of pandering obscenity, importuning, all felonies and endangering children, a misdemeanor. Blosser turned herself into Deputy A. McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 17 at 6:31 am.

Justin Lee Dillon, age 28, 38725 State Route 681, Reedsville, OH, for operating with expired driver’s license, a misdemeanor. Dillon was arrested on US 50 by Trooper Rodgers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 17 at 1:12 pm.

Carlton Wayne Bennett, age 52, 101 Evans Street, New Matamoras, on a warrant for assault, a misdemeanor. Bennett turned himself into the Washington County Jail and was processed by Sgt. Farrell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed on 28 Aug 17 2:01 pm.

There are currently 23 females and 99 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
