On 18 Aug 17 Richard Hendrickson, 493 Barrett South Road, Vincent, parked a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am at the Waterford Fairgrounds and upon exiting the vehicle it began smoking and caught on fire.  The vehicle is a total loss.  The Beverly Waterford Volunteer Fire Department and Deputy A. McConnell responded to the scene.

On 18 Aug 17 Matthew Deem, 1410 Hocking Road, Belpre, reported a problem at his vehicle lot.  Deem signed a refusal to prosecute in this case.  Case closed.  (1007)

On 18 Aug 17 Deputies were dispatched to 2274 Tick Ridge Road, Lower Salem, in reference to Larry Clevenger stating his son, Randy Clevenger, was chasing him with a wooden club and threatening to kill him.  Prior to deputies arriving Randy Clevenger left the residence.  Larry stated that he was speaking with Randy about getting the electric turned back on and during the conversation, Randy took a wooden club and chased him outside and threatened to beat him to death. Larry stated that he ran to his house and called 911.  Charges of felony domestic violence were filed on Randy Joe Clevenger, age 30, 2265 Tick Ridge Road, Lower Salem.  Randy was arrested on 19 Aug 17 at his residence.  (415)

On 18 Aug 17 Bonnie Gray, 233 Main Street, Lowell, reported damage to a window air conditioner.  This case remains under investigation.  (1303)

On 19 Aug 17 while patrolling Wells Road, Waterford, Deputy Zide observed a Pontiac bearing Ohio registration cross the center/divider line, almost an entire half a car width. The Pontiac remained over the center line for approximately 5 seconds, including being over the line in a blind left handed turn.   A traffic stop was conducted near Mines Road and the driver was identified as Brent Christopher Ginther, age 20, Ferry Street, Beverly.  Ginther was found to have glassy eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of an alcoholic beverage could be detected. Further, Ginther admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages earlier in the day.  Ginther was asked to take a series of standardized field sobriety tests, to which he consented.  Ginther performed poorly on the tests, in which he then submitted to a PBT which yielded a result of .160 % BAC.  Ginther was then placed under arrest for OVI and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.  A citation was also issued to Ginther for marked lanes violation.

On 19 Aug 17 Deputies responded to Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, in reference to a resident reporting John Ralston and Rhonda Clark yelling at each other in the driveway at 1685 Wynncrest Drive.  Deputies made contact with John and Rhonda who were standing in the driveway still arguing. John and Rhonda admitted to yelling at each other outside the residence. This was the second time deputies had responded to this location this date for this type of incident.  A summons is being requested for John Robert Ralston, age 47, 1080 BF Goodrich Road, Marietta and Rhonda Deann Clark, age 41, 1685 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct.  (1007)

Ritterbeck was picked up at Noble County Jail by Deputy Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 17 at 3:20 pm.

Mary Alice Williams, age 37, 210 Spring Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 17 at 5:43 pm.

Victor Ira Wells, age 32, 1399 Scotch Ridge Road, Whipple, on a warrant for nonsupport of dependants, a felony. Wells was arrested by Deputy Farrell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 17 at 7:52 pm.

William Lincoln Boley, II, age 45, 162 Westerly Place, Akron, OH, on a warrant for a probation violation, a felony. Boley turned himself in at the Washington County Jail and was processed on 18 Aug 17 at 8:19 pm.

Alice Faye Estep, age 35, 2379 E. State Route 60, McConnelsville, OH, for two warrants for failure to appear, both felonies. Estep was picked up in Muskingum County by Deputy Allender of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 17 at 9:24 pm.

Brent Christopher Ginther, age 20, Ferry Street, Beverly, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Ginther was arrested in Waterford by Deputy Zide of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 17 at 2:48 am.

Matthew Allen Francis, age 34, 2202 Hill Street, Belpre, for domestic violence, a felony. Francis was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Whittington of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 17at 3:19 am.

Randy Joe Clevenger, age 30, 2265 Tick Ridge Road, Lower Salem, for domestic violence, a felony. Clevenger was arrested at his residence by Deputy A. McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 17 at 10:32 am.

Betty Joe Leigh Perry, age 44, 7258 State Route 550, Cutler, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Perry was arrested on the Morgan County line by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 17 at 11:05 am.

Shawn Paul New, age 27, 487 Catalina Drive, Newark, OH, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor. New was arrested in Delaware County by Trooper Seabolt of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 17 at 8:51 pm.

Jason Ryan Stewart, age 25, 809 Morgan Avenue, Belpre, for drug instrument possession, drug paraphernalia and marked lanes, all misdemeanors. Stewart was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Whittington of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 17 at 12:27 am.

Alexis Dawn Montgomery, age 27, 154 Berry Patch Lane, Washington WV, for drug instrument possession and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Montgomery was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Whittington of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 17 at 1:07 am.

John Thomas Merriman, age 21, 5251 Maymar Drive, Albany, OH, for assault, a misdemeanor. Merriman was arrested on State Route 339 in Waterford by Deputy A. McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 17 at 7:10 am.

Erica Nicole Henderson, age 23, 906 33rd Street, Vienna, WV, for receiving stolen property and fugitive from justice, both felonies, failure to comply order/signal, speed, failure to reinstate operator’s license, no seat belt, reckless operation and left of center/when passing, all misdemeanors. Henderson was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 17 at 2:39 pm.

Brian Keith Hitchcock, age 38, 627 Front Street, Marietta, for obstructing official business, open container, and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors. Hitchcock was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Ritchie of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 17 at 11:02 pm.

Cynthia Kay Dailey, age 43, 227 Franklin Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct and drugs possession, both misdemeanors. Dailey was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 17 at 11:16 pm.

James Nemo Lee Croston, age 40, 302 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for obstructing justice and contempt of court order, both misdemeanors. Croston was arrested by Deputy Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 17 at 6:40 am.
