On 10 Aug 17 Lt. Hornbeck was dispatched to the area of Morris Loop, Marietta, to assist in the search for Mark Aaron McIntyre.  The Marietta City PD had received information that McIntyre was in that area and was being actively sought by law enforcement from West Virginia.  Information indicated McIntyre had stolen a vehicle in Huntington, WV and absconded from the Williamstown PD and was still believed to be in possession of the vehicle keys.  Dispatch advised Lt. Hornbeck that McIntyre had active warrants out of our office as well as Monroe County and Belpre PD.  Deputies arrived at 587 Morris Loop and as they approached the driveway, observed McIntyre sitting on the front porch.  McIntyre was positively identified by Lt. Hornbeck due to prior dealings with him.  McIntyre jumped up and fled around the house at which time Lt. Hornbeck exited his patrol vehicle and ordered McIntyre to stop. McIntyre was not immediately located and numerous other law enforcement officers from the Sheriff Office, Parkersburg K9 Unit, Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Marietta PD assisted in locating him.  A short time later the homeowner arrived on scene and as Lt. Hornbeck approached the residence with the home owner, McIntyre came out of the residence with his hands up and turned himself in.   McIntyre advised that as he ran around the residence he went into the basement door and hid inside until turning himself in.  McIntyre, age 35, homeless, was placed under arrest for the warrants as well as being charged with obstructing official business.

On 10 Aug 17 Deputies were dispatched to 549 Gun Club Road, Marietta, in reference to a domestic dispute.  Deputies met with Cheryl K. Andrews and Charles Gregory Andrews. Cheryl advised she and her husband were having a verbal disagreement which escalated to the point where Charles grabbed her by the arms.  Cheryl then admitted she ripped the defendant’s “wife beater” shirt and he let go, but the arguing continued.  Cheryl then stated Charles told her “they are going to come haul you away from here” in which Cheryl felt that meant he would beat her up and the squad would have to come get her.  Cheryl stated he was afraid at that time and didn’t know what he would do.  Cheryl requested a protection order be issued.  Charles admitted to being involved in the verbal confrontation, but denied making any threats.  Charles advised he and Cheryl argue frequently.  Charles Gregory Andrews, age 52, was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing on a domestic violence charge.
