On 6 Aug 17 Sgt. Reeder along with the Devola Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to assist a female subject who had taken a large amount of pills. This case remains under investigation.
On 6 Aug 17 Deputies were dispatched to 401 Keeler Street, Marietta, to a domestic violence complaint. Sgt. Reeder met with Rachel Phillips who advised she and her live-in boyfriend, Christopher Flesher, were arguing and it turned physical. Phillips stated she was “snooping” on Flesher’s phone and found messages to another girl, which upset her. Flesher, who was asleep, was awakened and the two began to argue, with Flesher attempting to get away from her by locking himself in the bathroom. Phillips states she picked the lock and entered the bathroom in which Flesher pushed past her, almost knocking her to the floor. Phillips states Flesher grabbed her by the throat, which was denied by Flesher. Flesher did place her in a headlock at some point, and admitted striking Phillips in the ride side of the stomach with a closed fist. Christopher William Flesher, age 26, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Phillips did not wish to have a temporary protection order issued.
On 6 Aug 17 R. Marie Dawson, 12895 State Route 676, Waterford, reported a 2000 GM truck was borrowed and never returned to her. This case remains under investigation. (594)
On 6 Aug 17 Deputies responded to Waterford Township in reference to a possible domestic. In speaking with all parties involved it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed. (594)
On 7 Aug 17 Deputy Hall responded to 171 Mill Branch Rd, Belpre, in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Haley Jett stated she was having an argument with her son’s father, Preston Archie, in which the argument turned physical. She states Archie shoved her and her son (16 months old) onto the couch. Jett states she attempted to get up and Archie pushed her to the ground. Jett further reported that Archie was punching her body while she was on the floor and was stepping on their son, as the son was trying to get to her. Jett went on to say that she was attempting to leave but Archie stopped her at the door choking her with his thumb. Jett then grabbed a key that was hanging on the wall and started scratching and poking Archie to get away. Deputy Hall viewed injuries on Jett which were consistent with her story. Archie was picked up and left the scene prior to Deputy Hall arriving. This vehicle which Archie was riding in was stopped by Belpre Police on State Route 7/US 50 just past Clement Avenue. Deputy Hall spoke with Archie. Archie states he was attacked by Haley Jett after the argument. The injuries Archie had were consistent with Jett’s story. Preston Vern Archie, age 25, 171 Millbranch Road, Belpre, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Jett did request a protection order be issued.

Andrew F. Morgan, 1157 Clement Avenue, Belpre, for failure to appear.

Levi Michael Kuhn, age 23, 1328 Lancaster Street, Marietta, OH, for theft, a misdemeanor. Kuhn was arrested at the Humane Society by Sgt. McGilton of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 07 Aug 17 at 5:34 pm.
Cassie Maxine Connell, age 31, 2900 Olney Run Road, Stockport, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Connell was arrested by Deputy A. McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 07 Aug 17 at 11:13 pm.
Preston Vern Archie, age 25, 171 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Archie was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Hall of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 08 Aug 17 at 1:05 am.
Eric D Wright, age 31, 550 Arches Fork, New Matamoras, OH, on a warrant for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Wright was arrested by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 08 Aug 17 at 2:01 am.
There are currently 19 females and 95 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
