An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force resulted in the arrest of two women on drug charges.
On 3 Aug 17 Agents with the Major Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a local establishment in Washington County, Ohio. Agents recovered approximately 6.01 grams of methamphetamine packaged in 4 separate 1×1” plastic baggies, .38 grams of heroin in 1×1” plastic baggies, digital scales, smoking pipes, plastic baggies, aluminum foil and $468.00 in US Currency, along with other drug paraphernalia used in the consumption and sale of drugs.
Nicole Jane Dotson, age 31, 6488 Old St. Mary’s Pike, Parkersburg, WV, and Stephanie Larraine Wright, age 32, lka: 700 Cisler Drive, Marietta, OH, were advised of their Miranda Rights during the search. Wright admitted to knowing that the drugs were there and being in possession of one of the baggies containing methamphetamine as well as assisting Dotson in drug trafficking. While questioning Dotson she admitted that the heroin found was hers and that Wright and she had been selling methamphetamine at this location over the previous few days.
A presumptive field test of the methamphetamine and heroin was conducted with a positive indication for both.
Stephanie Wright was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine in an amount more than bulk but less than 5 times bulk, a 3rd-degree felony, and possession of methamphetamine in an amount more than bulk but less than 5 times bulk, a 5th-degree felony.
Nicole Dotson was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine in an amount more than bulk but less than 5 times bulk, a 3rd-degree felony and possession of heroin less than bulk a 5th-degree felony.
Dotson and Wright were transported to the Washington County Jail where were held until their arraignment in Marietta Municipal Court 4 Aug 17.
After their initial appearance, Dotson and Wright are now held on a $15,000 Surety bond and are scheduled to be back in court on 9 Aug 17.
