On 19 Jul 17 Emily M. Hall, 429 McGill Road, Vincent, was parked in Waterford when Rita C. Offenberger, 14745 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, backed her 2010 Jeep striking Hall’s 2002 Buick. Light damage was done to both vehicles. No further action required. (1104)
On 19 Jul 17 Robert Postlewaite, 3505 Schoolhouse Road, Little Hocking, reported items missing from a garage on his property. This case remains under investigation. (907)

Jesse J. Bell, 4220 Welch Road, Little Hocking, for failure to confine or restrain a dog.
Jacob E. Beverly, 105 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre, for polluting state land, water.
Bobbie S. Davis, 181 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct.
Joshua A. Gibson, 2200 Hill Street, Apt. D, Belpre, for telecommunications harassment.
Elizabeth G. Kidd, 125 County Nine Road, Apt. C3, Marietta, for hunting violation/fishing license.
Michael B. Kirk, 2694 Pettyville Road, Parkersburg, WV, for failure to appear; original charge driving under suspension.
Rebekah C. Knopp, 914 23rd Street, Apt. 1, Vienna, WV, for failure to appear; original charge OVI.
Amanda L. Valandingham, 13700 State Route 339, Waterford, for passing bad checks.
The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Wednesday 19 Jul 17 and Thursday 20 Jul 17:
Glen Derrek Tanner, age 33, 10870 State Route 821, Lower Salem, on warrants for failure to appear out of Summit County, failure to appear out of Medina County and probation violation from Ashland County. Tanner was arrested at his home by Lt. Hunter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jul 17 at 12:45 am.
Christopher Scharfenberger, age 33, 204 Bonnie Lane, Louisville, KY, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Scharfenberger was arrested on State Route 60 by Trooper Handschumacher of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jul 17 at 6:45 am.
There are currently 20 females and 90 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
