On 12 Jul 17 Deputies responded to 10 Second Street, Vincent, in reference to Sarah Morris being assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, James Andrews. Deputies spoke with Morris who advised that Andrews came into their bedroom intoxicated and started shoving her out of the bed telling her to leave. Morris stated she refused to leave and kicked Andrews in an attempt to get him to stop shoving her. Andrews at that time then struck Morris in the head, shoved her out of the room, and locked the door. Andrews had left the residence prior to law enforcement arriving. Andrews was later located at MMH Belpre Campus. Andrews told Deputies that an argument started over Morris getting a ride to an ex-boyfriend’s residence. Andrews stated that Morris became angry and started attacking him, pushing him out a window. Andrews then recanted his story saying he jumped out the window to get away from the situation, and denies striking Morris, but did state he grabbed her face telling her to leave. James R. Andrews, age 32, is being charged with domestic violence through Marietta Municipal Court. (415)
