On 9 Jul 17 Deputy Johnson responded to the Marathon Station, 17 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, to investigate a reported attempted theft. The suspect was identified by the clerk as Stephen Eric Bonnette. Deputy Johnson was advised that Bonnette was in the store, intoxicated and attempted to steal a bottle of vodka. Bonnette was observed putting the bottle of vodka down his pants, in which he was then confronted. Bonnette then retrieved the bottle from his pants and put the bottle back on the shelf and was asked to leave the store. Deputy Johnson was advised that this has occurred in the past with Bonnette and they do not want him on the property again. Deputy Johnson proceeded to 181 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking in an attempt to arrest Stephen Bonnette on an active warrant on file with the Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Johnson observed Bonnette sitting on the couch through a storm door. Upon Bonnette seeing Deputy Johnson he stood up and went on the back porch. Deputy Johnson ordered Bonnette to stop and was able to detain him. While searching Bonnette a small baggie of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, was located on his person. Stephen Eric Bonnette, age 36, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail for attempting to commit a theft offense, possession of marijuana and on a probation violation warrant. Bonnette tested a .301 on the portable breath test after arriving at the Jail.
On 9 Jul 17 Deputy A. McConnell and the Reno Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to Jennings Hill Road in reference to a subject burning brush and was burnt in the process. No further action required.
On 9 Jul 17 Don H. Dunfee, Racine, Ohio, reported a Honda 300 4×4 four wheeler stolen from property in Decatur Township. This case remains under investigation. (799)
On 9 Jul 17 Deputy Black was dispatched to Marietta Township in reference to a report of domestic violence. Upon speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded. Case closed.
On 10 Jul 17 Stephen Atkinson, McGill Road, Vincent, reported a Stihl chainsaw missing from the property. This case remains under investigation.
On 10 Jul 17 HJC Properties LLC, 321 Fourth Street, Lowell, reported damage to rental property. This case remains under investigation. (1104)

Shean Daniel Sparks, age 33, 1020 Charles Street, Parkersburg, on three warrants for breach of recognizance and failure to appear, both felonies and one for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Sparks was picked up at North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 17 at 3:07 pm.
Martin Dean Welch, Jr., age 45, 563 Sixth Street, Parkersburg, on four warrants for felonious assault, abduction, aggravated assault and theft, all felonies. Welch was picked up at North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Moyers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 17 at 1:30 pm.
Daniel Earl Sciance, age 21, 1007 Orchard Street, Marietta, on a warrant for menacing, a misdemeanor and misuse credit card, FRA suspension and probation violation, all misdemeanors. Sciance turned himself in at the Washington County Jail and was processed on 11 Jul 17 at 12:40 pm.
Kenneth Scott McClellan, age 29, homeless, on a warrant for failure to appear, a felony. McClellan was arrested at Best Western in Marietta by Lt. Hunter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 17 at 11:31 pm.
Raymond Allen Ayers, age 47, 212 Courtney Circle, Rocky Face, Georgia, for theft, a misdemeanor. Ayers was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 17 at 7:50 pm.
Nathan Gene Ireland, age 35, 6580 State Route 339, Vincent, for failure to appear, probation violation, OMVI, OVI suspension, open container and failure to register, all misdemeanors. Ireland was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Surry of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 17 at 2:49 am.
