NEWS RELEASES FOR 23 JUN 17


On 21 Jun 17 Deputies were dispatched to 312 Fifth Street in Beverly, in reference to a fight.  Brandon Carpenter came home intoxicated and got into an argument with Paul Brown.  Both Carpenter and Brown started fighting and Carpenter threw a soap dish at Brown and Brown hit him (Carpenter) on the head with it.  Carpenter was the only one who was intoxicated, and it was determined that Carpenter kept starting arguments.  Brandon Lee Carpenter, age 25, was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

On 21 Jun 17 Robert McKitrick arrived home at 4597 County Road 9, Reno and a verbal altercation took place between McKitrick and Brenda Beaver. This altercation escalated to water being thrown on McKitrick while he was in bed.  McKitrick retaliated by then and threw the stainless steel insulated mug at Beaver, missing her and striking the bedroom door. The altercation continued to the point where items inside the residence were destroyed. Brenda Beaver states during this altercation, she was struck by McKitrick in the nose, causing a ¼” laceration to her nose.  Robert Marion McKitrick, age 63, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

On 21 Jun 17 Sgt. Holbert began an investigation in reference to a debit card being compromised. This case remains under investigation.

On 21 Jun 17 Deputies were dispatched to Marietta Township in reference to an unruly juvenile.  Deputies were advised that the juvenile son had been acting out and being defiant towards the parents. Upon the parents not doing what the child requested, the child flew into a fit of rage, throwing things and punching holes in the wall of the home. The child was also agitated and defiant to the Deputy when asked questions about the events of the day.  A summons is being requested through Washington County Juvenile Court on a charge of unruly.

On 21 Jun 17 Deputy Zide began an investigation in reference to the discharging of a firearm in an unsafe manner.  This case remains under investigation.

On 21 Jun 17 Stephen Michael Partin, 313 Franklin Street, Marietta, was issued a citation for failure to register.  (910)

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Thursday 22 Jun 17 and Friday 23 Jun 17:

John Gaylord Stone, age 61, 1015 Federal Road, Little Hocking, for violation of protection order, a misdemeanor. Stone was arrested by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jun 17 at 12:46 pm.

Sarah Marie Lightner, age 35, Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, for two counts of theft, both misdemeanors. Lightner was arrested by Lt. Hunter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jun 17 at 2:28 pm.

Sunshine Louise Chapa, age 32, 136 Franklin Street, Marietta, for theft and criminal trespass, both misdemeanors. Chapa was arrested by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jun 17 at 6:32 pm.

Jerrianne Krystal Myers, age 24, 140 Clinton Street, Marietta, on two warrants for failure to appear. Myers was arrested at her residence by Deputy McKee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jun 17 at 7:59 pm.

There are currently 24 females and 75 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
