On 12 Jun 17 Deputy Allender began an investigation into littering in the Muskingum Township area.  This case remains under investigation.

On 15 Jun 17 Deputy Park completed a private property accident report at 100 Ayers Blvd., Belpre, William J. Zink, 150 Camelot Road, Belpre was backing into a parking stall next to Stephanie A. Merckle, 41 Morningside Drive, New Matamoras, and upon Zink pulling from the parking stall made contact with Merckle’s vehicle.   No further action required.

On 15 Jun 17 Deputies responded to Liberty Township in reference to a report of domestic violence.  Upon speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.  Case closed.  (500)

On 15 Jun 17 Deputy A. McConnell responded to the Nancy L. Williams residence, 4078 School House Road, to a report of a burglary at the home. This case remains under investigation.

On 15 Jun 17 at approximately 2026 hrs. Deputies responded to 171 Millbranch Road, Belpre, in reference to Haley Jett reporting she was assaulted by Preston V. Archie.   Jett stated she was sitting in the living room with Archie and their one year-old son and a friend.  Jett stated that the friend took the son outside and upon them leaving the room Archie walked over and began squeezing her cheeks, slapping her and choking her.  Jett states she attempted to defend herself and Archie then threw her against a table in the kitchen. Jett further stated she tried to pick up her phone to call 911 and Archie grabbed the phone from her to prevent her from calling 911. Jett states she managed to get to a landline phone at which point Archie fled from the house in a vehicle.  Deputies were unable to locate Archie and his whereabouts are unknown.  Jett was not injured during the attack, however did request a temporary protection order be issued through Marietta Municipal Court.  A warrant for domestic violence and disrupting public services is being requested through the Marietta Municipal Court on Preston V. Archie, age 25, 171 Millbranch Road, Belpre.   (126)

On 15 Jun 17 Deputy A. McConnell responded to the SR 60 Grill in reference to a customer leaving a purse behind.  The purse was recovered and information was forward to the law enforcement agency in the area the lady lived.  Arrangements are being made to return the items to the lady.  This case is closed.

Alex Jacks Handschumacher, age 39, 113 Dayton Road, Marietta, on two warrants for two counts of probation violations, both misdemeanors. Handschumacher was arrested by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 17 at 11:32 pm.

Robert Lee Carpenter, III, age 33, 121 W. 4 ½ Street, Williamstown, for animal prohibit destroy, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Ritchie of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 17 at 12:14 am.

David James Smearman, III, age 30, 570 Albright Road, Beverly, on a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor. Smearman was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 17 at 6:13 am.

Tricia Ann Blair, age 32, homeless, on warrants for misuse of a credit card, a felony and theft, a misdemeanor. Blair was arrested by Patrolman Ritchie of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 17 at 6:26 am.

John Aaron Givens, age 36, 100 Linwood Avenue, Marietta, for failure to reinstate operator’s license, three counts of domestic violence and criminal damaging, all misdemeanors. Givens was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Trooper Shipley of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 17 at 2:17 pm.

Brian Lee Miller, age 52, 105 Franklin Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct and animal cruelty, both misdemeanors. Miller was arrested by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 17 at 6:14 pm.

Gina Lynn Hoover, age 53, PO Box 556, Beverly, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hoover was arrested by Patrolman Perine of the Beverly City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 17 at 10:53 pm.

Christopher Nathan Maas, age 23, 8 Green Street, Marietta, for two counts of assault, both misdemeanors. Maas was arrested by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 17 at 11:33 pm.

Christina Marie Hower, age 32, 1595 Mt. Tom Road, Marietta, on two warrants for two counts of OVI suspension, marked lanes, repeat traffic offender and contempt of court order, all misdemeanors. Hower was arrested by Patrolman Bonnette of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 17 at 3:55 am.

Eric Theodore Kidder, age 45, 1244 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, for assault and domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Kidder was arrested at his residence by Lt. Hunter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 17 at 5:23 pm.

Jordyn Marie Menking, age 26, 236 Frances Road, Lowell, for theft a misdemeanor. Menking was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 17 at 9:22 pm.

Justin Tyler Gibbs, age 25, 515 Smith Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Gibbs was arrested by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 17 at 10:42 pm.

Lynsey Brooke Erb, age 29, 811 Pioneer Community Road, St. Marys, on two warrants for criminal trespass, a misdemeanor and auto theft, a felony. Erb was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Deputy Zide of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jun 17 at 3:17 am.

Archie was arrested by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jun 17 at 10:24 am.
