On 14 Jun17 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received information via Facebook pertaining to disturbing messages being posted by Phil Alexander. The messages were very derogatory towards Marietta Memorial Hospital and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, with explicit adult content.
The post alluded to Alexander purchasing an AK-47, travelling to Washington County and using the AK-47 on members of the Sheriff’s Office. The posts further stated he would much prefer murder with his bare hands, which he states he is trained to do. The posts further made mention of “MY KID” being arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Contact was made with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Hendersonville, NC, where Alexander was known to be residing. Detectives were informed that the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office had also received a complaint about disturbing posts the defendant had posted via Facebook about their agency, and initiated a report as well. Alexander informed the Deputy in Henderson County that he was very upset about his son’s arrest by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
On 12 Jun 17 Detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Graeme Alexander for Endangering Children a 2nd degree felony. After obtaining a North Carolina BMV photograph of Philip Lee Alexander, it was found that he is the same person in the photographs displayed on “Phil Alexander’s” Facebook page where the disturbing posts were made.
A warrant for retaliation a 3rd degree felony was requested through Marietta Municipal Court, and issued for Philip Lee Alexander, Age 52, 60 Wagon Wheel TRL, Mills River, NC, with a bond of $500,000.
On the evening of 15 Jun 17 Deputies with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alexander where he remains incarcerated pending court on 16 Jun 17. Alexander also is under a $75,000 bond in Henderson County.
