WCSO NEWS RELEASE FOR 14 JUN 17

 On 11 Jun 17 Deputies responded to meet with Dustin J. Cline, 322 Center Road, Waterford, in reference to his child driving down a road and a homeowner throwing gravel at his truck.  Cline signed a refusal to prosecute.  (612)

 On 12 Jun 17 Deputies responded to Swift Road, Waterford, to meet with Grace Wunderlich, in reference to an assault complaint.  Wunderlich stated adamantly that she did not want anything done and signed a refusal to prosecute form.  Case closed.  (612)

On 13 Jun 17 Deputies responded to Independence Township to a possible domestic violence incident.  Upon speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.  Case closed.  (1504)

 

The following warrants were processed at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

Kylee B. Baker, 111 N. Hart Street, Apt. 7, Marietta, for failure to appear.

Justin T. Gibbs, 723 Third Street, Marietta, for failure to appear.

 

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Tuesday 13 Jun 17 and Wednesday 14 Jun 17:

Joshua Ryan Lewis, age 33, 15 Millhouse Road, Newport, for theft, assault, domestic violence, and violation of protection order, all misdemeanors, and aggravated burglary, a felony. Lewis was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 1:31 pm.

Kenneth James Moore, age 39, 1413 ½ Third Street, Marietta, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested in Belpre by Trooper Gossett of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 3:10 pm.

Joseph Daniel Higgins, age 19, 6136 Pike Road, Saint Mary’s, WV, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Higgins was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Giffon of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 3:57 pm.

Charles Edwin Day, Jr., age 34, 830 Mount Tom Road, for possession of drugs, a felony. Day was arrested by Deputy Malone of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 4:28 pm.

Joshua Eugene Taylor, age 36, 102 Old Hippy Lane, Creston, WV, on warrants for OVI and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Taylor was arrested by Deputy Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 4:43 pm.

Graeme Philip Alexander, age 27, 814 Leonard Avenue, Belpre, for endangering children, a felony. Alexander was arrested in Belpre by Det. Sgt. Smeeks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 2:55 pm.

Tessa Lynn Steakley, age 19, 1851 Seventh Street, Parkersburg, WV, for complicity, a felony, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Steakley was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 5:51 pm.

Samuel Jason Kohan, age 45, 3063 Zephry Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, on warrants for contempt of court order and probation violation, both felonies. Kohan was picked up in Pennsylvania by Deputy Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 5:51 pm.

Christopher Shawn Stoops, age 45, 1522 27th Street, Vienna, WV, for theft, a felony, domestic violence and unlawful restraint, both misdemeanors. Stoops was at the North Central Regional Jail by Patrolman Campbell of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 June 17 at 9:06 pm.

There are currently 20 female and 74 males incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
