Two Arrested on Drug Charges 18 Jul 2025

Marietta, OH - 18 Jul 2025 Sheriff Mark Warden reports detectives arrested Angela Hutson and Leroy Douglas Rousseau on drug charges.

17 Jul 2025 Det. Peters and Det. Dolly were patrolling I77 south when they paced a passenger vehicle at 76 mph in a 70 mph zone.  Multiple traffic violations were observed and a traffic stop was conducted.

Contact was made with the driver, Leroy Rousseau, and front seat passenger, Angela D. Hutson. Detectives obtained all passenger and vehicle information finding Rousseau to be driving without a valid license.

K9 Timmy was deployed to conduct a free air sniff on the vehicle, and returned a positive indication. A search of the vehicle was conducted and detectives located a locked black zipper bag.  Detectives opened the bag and located 28.88 grams of crack cocaine, 11.29 grams of fentanyl and digital scales. 

Both subjects were advised of their Miranda Rights and denied any knowledge of the narcotics in the vehicle.         

Angela Danielle Hutson, age 38, and  Leroy Douglas Rousseau, age 37, 731 Glendale Road, Apt. 12, Marietta, OH, were placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in crack cocaine, a felony of the first degree, possession of crack cocaine a felony of the first degree, possession of fentanyl a felony of the second degree and trafficking in fentanyl, a felony of the second degree.

Both Hutson and Rousseau appeared in Marietta Municipal Court on 18 Jul 2025.  Rousseau is being held on $200,000 BD + PR and Hutson is being held on $150,000 BD + PR.
